Silken Sands

It sounds too good to be true—housesitting for three months, by herself, on a small island off the coast of Maine. Associate professor Cynthia Blake couldn't ask for a better place to finish her dissertation. No phone. No television. No distractions. At least, that's what she thinks—until she meets Jonathan Roaman. The tall, tanned, impossibly tempting owner of the island, Jonathan is nothing like the "old miser" she expected. And Cynthia is more than Jonathan could have ever hoped for…When the surf hits the sand, all bets are off: How can they resist each other? Sometimes a summer fling is all it takes to find true love…

I read all the time and this is the first time I have felt strongly enough to write a review. This book is horrible. I normally love this author but this book was nothing like her normal style. The characters were snobby and left much to be desired when it came to their depth. The main character goes from being emotionally abused to madly in love just because the guy is attractive... I hate not finishing a book so I continually found myself trying to get this one done but it was a chore rather than a pleasure. Not worth your time at all.

As an avid reader, i am always looking for new authors. This book was slow, boring, and unbearable to get through. I gave up before reaching page 100....and this was a short book of only 156 pages. I only spent $2.99 and if i could request a refund, i most certainly would have done so.

One of her older books but a good story

This is honestly one of the worst books I have read. There is no depth whatsoever. It's just a bunch of breakneck emotion. If you're into crappy romances, this is the book for you. Could barely finish this. I personally don't think its worth any amount of money you spend. But to each their own.
