Description:

A dark, daring addition to the vampire genre, this is a collection of rhyming and freestyle poetry that explores the often taboo themes of power, possession and seduction. Emotionally charging, each poem is written from a different perspective, be it the hunter or the hunted and inspires a deeper look into the psychology of the human mind and the darker aspects of human relationships and society.

Meet the Author

International bestselling author of The Witching Pen series, and the Eye Of The Storm series. Dianna combines a titillating mix of paranormal romance, urban and dark fantasy into her writing, to bring you stories that are action-packed, fast-paced and not short of heat, with the focus on both character development and the plot. She writes full-length novels and short fiction. She has also written poetry (first published in 1997) and esoteric books and articles. Nowadays, she chooses to concentrate on writing fiction. Although quite active online, Dianna prefers the quiet company of nature and animals to the hustle and bustle of people. She loves anything paranormal (she doesn't really consider it "para"), organic food, walking barefoot, the smell of the woods after rain, and summer days. However, she is also sustained by coffee, chocolate and the occasional vodka. She currently lives in Surrey, England with her partner and their daughter, where she devotes her time to parenting, publishing and writing.

If you love writing with a dark, twisted edge, you'll love this collection.. The author paints at times, a dark romantic, & at other times a truly sinister portrait, whose color and detail literally bleeds off the pages. Anyone who believes poetry is a dead artform, just got served!!! Hardy's work is Poe and Anne Rice all rolled up in one.

A really good introduction to poetry if you usually think poetry is boring. These poems aren't boring. They're about vampires so maybe you need to like vampires, but I think anyone would like the poems even if they don't like vampires. Some of the poems are about passion and lust. I think it's a good book for guys too as the vampires aren't all girly.

This is a must have book for all vampire fans out there. The poems within these pages are well written and unique, telling stories of evil vampires, soulful vampires and their willing and unwilling victims. Adults, I wouldn't let your kids too near this book if they're young as some of it contains "scenes of a sexual nature" - more suggestive than explicit. You'll find yourself both loving and hating vampires after reading this, and possibly sleeping with the light on. One thing's for sure, you won't leave your baby out in the garden to sleep under the warm, summer breeze...
