STOP WITH THE DISCRACE OF THIS AUTHOR

Stop it now! Sliver Ravenwolf is one of the leaders in the movement of trying to spread the word of the wiccan faith. Her work has brought many a curious person, like I once was, into the great world of witchcarft. Yes, you may be able to find the items in this kit for cheaper at diffrent places but this is intended to be a starter kit for teens so the quality of the dedicated witch that may come out of it far superseeds the small gamble on the quality of the contents in the kit.

    A goddess is this cool

I don't care what other people think this is the coolest thing I've ever seen! Lots of you said well anybody could pick this up and try to do magick but they can do that with any other book of wicca.

    give Silver support

I have been a practicing solitary witch for almost twenty years now and I have been reading Silver Ravenwolf's books for a long time. Yes, at times she may read as silly but I choose to see it as it being her brand of humor. I have found her to be informative and clever in her books. True, she doesn't side on the religious aspect of witchcraft too often but she can otherwise be a pleasure to read. So she falls short at times, but don't we all?

    IT IS OK

I like the idea of haveing some tools for you in package. I always wanted a pentacle and the kool salt that they mention in the books (Sea salt). the book gives you an idea of how to write your own magick spells better than really any other book I can think of. However, if you have avaibality to a methaphysical shop do not buy this.

    STAY AWAY

Please avoid this worthless item! Again, Ravenwolf only focuses on spells and not religion. You actually can get just about everything at a grocery store or a Wal-Mart. Still can't find it? Try a thrift shop, and while you're there give them this kit. The pentacle is breakable in five mintues, the cord, too expensive for cord. Portable Altar? If you have no set up, use a nightstand or small table instead. Everything in cheap and worthless, oh, and those coins, the finish wears off in 3 days tops. Avoid this, and her books.

Pretty low quality and effort but I like the way you're thinkin!

I love Silver RavenWolf. She was one of the first authors I have found who wrote a book about Wicca aimed at teens! I loved Teen Witch I'm 15 and have been practicing/ studying Wicca and other forms of paganism for 3 years and I started reading Silver two years ago. I bought this kit after reading Teen Witch, I was very disappointed in this kit. The supplies are very low quality for the price. I love the idea though, most teen wiccans can't go to a metphysical shop or don't know where one is, but this is just a waste of money. I have found much more quality things at wiccan shops for a better price.

    Everything for Beginners

This kit is for beginners who don't have access to the things that are needed for working magick. It contains everything to start off with, all in one place. The book was well-written in Silver's usual style with that feeling of one-on-one interaction. This is great for those just starting out as a witch who don't know where to go for supplies and instruction. Another great item by Silver RavenWolf!

    20yo Wiccan in WA

I bought this kit when it first came out, and I ended up returning it the very next day. I was very disappointed in it. Before I bought it, I had read a lot of articles where people were saying Silver Ravenwolf was commercializing the Craft. I decided to give it a chance though. I thought it was a very good idea because many teens who are interested in Wicca don't really know where to start. Once I bought the kit and saw what it was and what poor quality it was, I was very disappointed in Silver. I usually love her books and I think she presents the Craft in a very accessable way. I felt that this kit was way too expensive for what it was. If you really want to learn the Craft, buy one of her other books, or read Scott Cunningham or Ray Buckland. They'll give you a good start. Don't waste your money on this kit though, it's really not worth it.

    Save your money

After reading her books, it seems to me that she is merely trying to turn a greater profit. If a witch buys this, then they should remember that anything bought holds less power and meaning than something you make yourself. Not to mention they can only be used in her spells or books, not any other faith. Use the money you spend on this to buy a few books on symbols and such. I frown upon this waste of a teen's dwindling monetary intake.

    Brilliant

I personally think that this kit is the best thing for teens. It's a great kit and anyone interested in Wicca, religiously or scientifically, will find it quite helpful.

    What a disappointment!

I have't bought this, but my friend has it, and I've seen hers and such. And I was VERY disappointed. Silver seems to slap things together without care of the person who'd use it. Therefore, I won't be picking this up, it's a total waste of money.

    Opps!!

This book wasn't put together very well. Without the other books (or Scott Cuningham) it's useless. The tailsims...well...they suck. The pentacle looks cheap, and the others are basically worthless. All I can say is that buying this is a Mistake.

    ?!?!?!

Recommended for ages 12 and up, and for about 25 bucks...go and buy a real book and talismans of quality material. Reading a few of Silver RavenWolf's books, I'd have to say...I don't like her all that much. Don't buy it, it's simply not worth the money, time, or effort. Besides, you really can't be a witch through a kit. Personally, it seems as though she has no interest in the religion aspect.

    wow! i'm amazed

i thought that the talismans, although somewhat amateurish, were overall okay. the book was very interesting, and by doing a few of the spells i learned that my mother is into this stuff to.i was amazed at the kit that it came with, all of the books that i've read never had a kit so i'm very satisfied.
