Silver Threads: Weaving Godly Wisdom Into the Lives of Younger Women
Women's discipleship and mentoring is a vital part of the spiritual growth of believers and of the church. According to the Bible, older women have an indispensable role in building into the lives of younger women, yet many older women have either never considered this calling, or they are unsure how to proceed.

Silver Threads shares practical encouragement and counsel for women who want to learn how to support and teach their younger sisters in Christ. Taking a careful look at the key Scriptural passages about older women, it offers a richer, deeper perspective of discipleship than we usually encounter.

The author presents many practical suggestions and illuminating examples drawn from her own experiences over nearly forty years of being discipled and discipling other women.

About the Author

Kate Megill's passion for discipleship began nearly four decades ago. Right after coming to Christ, she found herself nurtured and challenged by other women willing to pour their lives into hers, and was eventually invited to be a part of a household of women who were committed to mutually training and encouraging one another in the faith. Her heart and soul were gripped by the beauty and joy of discipleship, especially older women teaching younger women.

Although a New England girl to the core, she was transplanted to the Midwest where she and her husband Kevin homeschool their eight children. From there, she has continued to disciple others, passing on the heritage that was given to her. She loves praying for people, searching the Scriptures, laughing lots, and helping friends find practical solutions to life's problems. She loves sharing her own mistakes and how God has blessed in spite of them. She blogs regularly about the adventure of living as a woman in God's kingdom at teachingwhatisgood.com.
