Silverwolf Homeless Project [1995]

All Music Guide - Steven McDonald
Billed as a "Homeless-specific song-cycle," The Silverwolf Homeless Project compiles 16 cuts from artists as diverse as Cheryl Wheeler, John Gorka, Tom Paxton, and Ani DiFranco, some recorded for this project, others drawn from previously released sources. Songwriting at its best

I bought this CD years ago and never tire of it. Haunting, powerful lyrics that describe the plight of those living in poverty. Not light listening, but worth it! Especially liked "Geraldine and Ruthie Mae," "Tuck & Roll Dreams," "Picnic," and "Noah Nelson."
