Overview

New York Times bestselling author Emily March serves up love and laughter in this delicious historical romance that the Denver Rocky Mountain News called a "wonderful, delightful, and gratifying book that is not to be missed."

In Victorian Texas, Christina Delaney stirs up scandal when she befriends unsavory characters while offering her special recipe of Texas Red for sale in the town square. After she's crowned Chili Queen of San Antonio, her socially prominent family has had enough. They ship her off to live with her grandfather on his grand English estate, hoping he'll be able to transform her from independent chili queen to cool, controlled countess.

Cole Morgan would do anything for Christina's mother, Elizabeth, even escort her incorrigible daughter across the Atlantic. Besides, he has his own business in England. Cole needs to locate the missing copy of the Republic of Texas' Declaration of Independence. But when an English lord offers Christina marriage, Cole faces the fact that the girl he grew up with is now the woman he desires. He sets out to prove to Chrissy that she doesn't want a life of luxury in England. What Christina Delaney wants--what she needs--is a modest home deep in the heart of Texas with the only man who can make the Chili Queen...Simmer All Night.

Editorial Reviews

Romantic Times magazine - Jill Brager
Once again Geralyn Dawson has come up with a winner. Chrissy Delaney is a strong and independent woman, while Cole is a handsome cowboy lawyer who is equally at home in the drawing rooms of England or a barn dance. Great verbal sparring, delightfully funny at times and also extremely touching at points. Geralyn Dawson touches your heart and your funny bone.
All About Romance - Harriett Klausner
SIMMER ALL NIGHT is an entertaining blending of a western romance with a Victorian romance. The mix works as the characters imbue a special jocular charm into the story line. Christina is an electrifying lead protagonist whose antics disguise her need for love. Cole is a grateful hero who readers will salivate over as they savor his understanding and hugs. Geralyn Dawson shows she is a gourmet chef who serves simmering hot Texas chili with a cup of tea.
Affaire du couer magazine - Claudia Terrones
Geralyn Dawson's latest offering, Simmer All Night, is a wonderful concoction of Texas swagger and English sensibilities, with much of her trademark humor to warm up a chilly winter day.
Heart to Heart - Teresa C.
Christina Delaney, heiress of a Texas fortune feels her family does not love her. The final straw with her family comes when she opens a chili stand in the San Antonio Military Plaza and gets herself voted "Chili Queen". Christina's mother and brother decide to send her to England and the care of her maternal grandfather. She sees this as more punishment for not being the "perfect lady'.

Cole Morgan, the Delaney's foster son, is assigned the task of taking Christina to England. He also

Whenever I am feeling particularly stressed and need just a humorous read, the Bad Luck Series always seems to fit the bill for me. I had read this one in the paperback form, long ago when ebooks were a fantasy for most, and just re-read it again in the ebook form as my paper version had "died" an untimely death of pages falling out. I love this series.

This was a great, entertaining book! It had humor and some suspense and overall kept my attention. It was a basically lighthearted romance.

Christina and Cole's story which starts in Texas moves to a country estate in England that belongs to Christina's grandfather. This is a great addition to the series. Like the first two there is a wonderful heroine who isn't cut from society's mold. Her hero is strong, careful, and at first unaware of his love for her. This story has it all. The usual side of young children who in trying to help get things really exciting. It was a fun read, following Cole and Christina's road to each other.
