Simon is a gnome and the last that he knows of his kind. He has befriended a human child named Jacob and will do anything to protect his friend, including killing other humans. He spends his time with Jacob in a tunnel world connected to the world that we know.

Steven Edwads lives in St. Louis, MO with his wife Linda. He has lived in St. Louis for most of his life.
