    Love the Fight Series

Simon the strong alpha male was dupped by his long time live in girlfriend.. On the tails of the breakup he desides to fight again and to hell w/women. Until she walks into the gym he is training at. Dakota Dream. He instantly sends out a warning that she if for him..But Dakota has other ideas and what she is at the gym for Simon wants nothing to do with. The story is very interesting at how Dakota overcomes her fears and Simon learns he has more control than he thought he had.

    Not Very Good

Not a very good read at all. I'm assuming the other reviews on here were based on an average of all trashy romances, but for me....well, I need much more substance than this book offered. The story line was bad and the characters were hollow, especially the main characters of Simon and Dakota who had sex after knowing each other for only a week and without Simon even knowing Dakota's maiden name for God's sake. The sex scenes were very graphic and not in a sensual way, but more of an overly obvious way by use of the most explicit words used for genitalia. The author wants you to believe there is a deep connection between these characters, but it's obvious that it's just physical. By the end of the book, Simon had apparently fallen in love quickly with Dakota, yet I was still confused about her character and her life and I couldn't understand how a man so busy with his career as an athlete would actually fall in love with a girl after a week or so.
Well, I usually read every book twice in case I missed things, but this book goes in the recycle pile right away.

    It's a KO!

I think that Simon Says so far is the best of the fighter series so far. It is a book that is worth reading and rereading. Characters are strong and funny. It's my favorite.

    Didn't do it for me

Dakota Dream? If your 1st name was Dakota and your married last name was Dream and you got a divorce would you not change back to your maiden name instead of keeping a name that makes you sound like a stripper or a porn star? Her reason for keeping it didn't make any sense. On the other hand not much she did made any sense. She was 23 years old and acted about 16. I noticed in the last few Lori Foster books the female lead has been in their early or mid 20's. If I wanted to read a book with the woman so much younger than the man I'd get an old Harlequin. Dakota was a slob, wearing baggy clothes and no make up with a personality like a rabid badger yet every guy she ran across was hot for her? Also it's my own personal preference but I don't think a man who shaves his head can be particularly handsome. The sex scenes were boring and mostly stupid. I liked 'Causing Havoc' and hope the 3rd in the series 'Hard to Handle', which I already have, is better than this one.

    Too Stubborn

I enjoyed this book but I just thought Dakota was just way too stubborn. As much as I like to see a strong woman in the lead, she was just too much. Hard to Handle was better.

    A tko

Lori Foster delivers a TKO in her most recent SBC fighter book, Simon Says. Former SBC fighter Simon Evans thought he had found the woman for him in his live in love Bonnie. But his world is turned upside down when he finds compromising photos of her with another fighter. Simon decides to go back in the ring. During a training session a beautiful woman who says she is looking for him distracts him. Dakota Dream is forced by her stepfather to locate his long lost son. Dakota who has followed the fighter world for years is thrilled to locate Simon but not so thrilled to be helping her stepfather. Seeing Simon in person sets her pulses racing. He makes her feel things that she never thought possible. But when someone is threatening her, Simon set him self up as her protector. Will he still want to be with her when he realizes she lied? Simon Says has the qualities that are hallmarks for a Lori Foster book, family, deep emotions and searing passions. Simon is a tough and sexy alpha mail but his tender side with Dakota will make you fall in love with him even more. Dakota though beset with life and family problems is no weak and silly female. She more then holds her own in every part of Simon's world. Simon Says pulls you into the fighting world and gives you a feel of what that life is like. The characters feel like old friends that you would want to spend time with. You are drawn to their ups and downs. This book was a pleasure from beginning to end.

    Just Okay.

I was not as thrilled with Simon Says as I was with Jude's Law. I hate to say it but I hated the heroine in Simon Says. Dakota Dream drove me crazy. She was a little too unfeminine for me and almost too fabricated with her unusual habits and likes and dislikes. And I never saw the connection between her and Simon. Everything about her was unique and weird and almost unbelievable. I found her to be obnoxious and irritating. And I never knew where the chemistry came from between her and Simon. All of a sudden they were made for each other. I didn't buy it. But it was still somewhat entertaining. I actually liked the secondary characters and thought they really helped the story along. This book definitely needed them.

Definitely a 'five' for Lori¿s latest book Simon Says! Simon is a top notch fighter, intense, gorgeous, and so sexy. You have to love a guy who can pummel his opponents in the fighting ring, but be smacked over in love with his woman! His sensitivity to her past is so touching, and watching him scramble to deal with his unexpected feelings for her had me laughing at times, and sighing at others. Dakota is the kind of heroine I love feisty, headstrong, and more than enough to put the hero in his place when he gets out of line. She¿s vulnerable, but not whiny or helpless. I enjoyed the sexual chemistry between these two¿as usual for Lori¿s books, the love scenes are HOT and romantic. No matter how much these two try to fight their attraction, there¿s no denying the sparks that are there from the onset. I can¿t wait to read Harley¿s story in Hard to Handle, and I hope Lori Foster keeps writing these SBC fighters!

Okay, where can I find a hero like this? It was depressing going back to real life after spending a few hours with Simon. The character combined with the build up and suspense made this an exciting reading experience for me. Nice job.

As part of a blackmail scheme by her no-good stepfather, Dakota Dream must convince supreme trainer/fighter Simon ¿Sublime¿ Evans to go visit the despicable man, who happens to be Simon¿s estranged father. Because her stepfather claims to have something left to her by her late mother, Dakota feels something close to desperation to make the visit take place. The connection between Dakota and Simon is practically instantaneous, but Simon has no interest in meeting with his father. When Dakota is attacked, Simon is more determined than ever to keep her safe.******** Dakota is nothing like any of Simon¿s former girlfriends and he doesn¿t quite know what to make of her. She¿s independently capable of taking care of herself but there¿s an underlying vulnerability that he wants to better understand.******** Events in Simon¿s past have caused him to trust few people, and when a misunderstanding causes him to distrust Dakota and make some downright ugly accusations, she is torn between crushing pain and seething anger.******** Dakota isn¿t your average heroine. She¿s kick-ass tough without compromise to her femininity. She hasn¿t led a charmed existence and the harsh realities of life have given her strength and courage. Those are just a couple of the qualities that have drawn Simon to her. Simon is an interesting character himself, and like most of Lori¿s heroes, he has the machismo to be a real man¿s man, but add a soft touch of incredibly smooth charm and he¿s the quintessential ladies¿ man.******* Lori Foster successfully tugs readers into this story from the start and when characters from Causing Havoc, the previous book in this series, make an appearance, it is an added bonus. Just like all of Lori¿s readers, I¿m looking forward to the next book in this intriguing series.

Simon Evans retired from the ring with his faculties still working and his body in great shape. However, he returns to the ring to take out his anger on his opponents when he catches his girlfriend cheating.------------ His biological father, who deserted Simon and his mom years ago, sends his stepdaughter Dakota Dream to find his son and to ascertain if forgiveness and reconciliation is possible though he hides from her his ulterior motive. Simon wants nothing to do with his dad although he admires and is attracted to the courageous Dakota. She finds she wants him too. When an unknown adversary tries to kill her, Simon risks his life and his heart to protect his stepsister, the woman he loves.------------ Lori. Foster's latest Supreme Battle Championship tale is an exhilarating story starring a hero who knows first hand love hurts and thus trusts no one as people cheat and lie. His reaction to his attraction is precious as he wants to kick his own butt for desiring his dad¿s ¿agent¿. Dakota is a fiery feisty female who CAUSES HAVOC in the solar plexus of Simon. Although the ¿assassin¿s¿ subplot seems outside the ring of the core story line and the chutzpah of his biological dad is incredulous as they never met before, readers will enjoy going the distance with this fine pairing of two champions.---------- Harriet Klausner

Another fantastic book from Lori Foster

I've never read a book by Lori Foster that I didn't love, but Simon Says is definitely one of her best. Terrific characters and a wonderful plot with some really slimy bad guys--it just doesn't get any better! I recommend this latest to anyone who wants an entertaining and emotionally satisfying romance.

    Simon Says - Another Winner

Lori Foster: SIMON SAYS is another winner It is the perfect follow-up to Causing Havoc. I love series books and getting the chance to 're-visit' characters from the previous books. In this series, Lori creates big, strong, athletic heroes who are caring, loving and ooh so sexy that you can't just help falling in love with them. Both the h/h have some demons or unhappiness in their past which adds to storyline. In Simon Says we have Simon, ex-fighter, now trainer extrodinaire, who decides to go back in the ring after finding out his long-time girlfriend has cheated on him. 'He needs to work off some steam' 'Bonnie you are such a fool'! The heroine is Dakota Dream, who had an unhappy childhood and left home at an early age to marry - she is now divorced. Dakota's mom had an accident awhile back and never regained consciousness before they could mend fences. Dakota has always felt so guilty that her mom died not knowing that she loved her. Her stepfather is holding something over Dakota's head and hires her to find his estranged son who just happens to be Simon. Simon refuses to see him - Dakota wont tell Simon what the creepy stepfather is holding over her or that HIS father is Her stepfather. Dakota gets pushed down stairs, some other things happen that keep you hooked. A little mystery in a story is always a good thing. Simon eventually finds out what is being held over Dakota's head and goes to see his father. You will have to read the book to fill in the gaps and have your hea. Lucky for us readers, there will be another book in this series.
