Overview

Experience joy and peace spiritually, relationally, and emotionally through biblical principles for simplifying life.

The more complicated life gets, the more stressed-out and hollow we feel. But how do we get "back to basics" without abandoning our responsibilities? In this down-to-earth book, Ed Dobson offers 12 keys to simplifying our lives. The secret, says Dobson, lies in nurturing three areas: inward simplicity (the art of living with ourselves), outward simplicity (finding balance in how we relate to others and to things), and upward simplicity (developing a deep and authentic relationship with God). Using many incisive anecdotes from his own experience, Dobson helps us gain peace, depth, and meaning in daily life by meeting our spiritual, emotional, and physical needs. We discover how to — Define our life goals - Replace materialism with a lifestyle of stewardship - Enrich our community with God through prayer, Bible study, and quiet time - Replace game-playing with authentic relationships - Vitalize life with guidelines for healthy living — Christians young and old will find Dobson's advice a practical, refreshing way to discover "the simplicity that is Christ" (2 Cor. 11:3).
