I am a huge Sinatra fan, and also a huge Rogers and Hammerstein fan, so I was excited to find this at my BN! The recordings are clean, and with the exception of one, studio recordings. One of the Oklahoma tracks is Live, but its still in great quality. I love this version of Some Enchanted Evening. He still has the New Jersey accent (listen for the word "Room" to come out as "Rum") that I find so endearing. All in all, I highly recommend this to any fan of either Frank Sinatra or Rogers and Hamemrstein musicals. A fantastic collection!

Sinatra doing Rodgers and Hammerstein is one of the most unusual collections. It is such a different body of music from a master at a younger age. Not too surprisingly he did it his way throughout - with a range of unusual arrangements. That, by itself keeps it fascinating. It also cause you to wonder why his name was not on the Broadway or Hollywood marquees in some of these shows when they were in their hay-days. Then again, I also wondered if Frank sent these arrangements as a message demo, via messenger, to Dick and Oscar. They have dialed him in. This is very different and interesting. Sinatra fans will be captivated by the styling - and just when you thought you'd heard him in all his stages...here again, something fresh and new. Strongly recommend it!!
