Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Kathie M. Josephs
The first page of the story provides a mini biography of the main character which is very helpful for understanding the story. Thall was a member of the Green Lantern Corps; he became very powerful. This group did good things. He often mentored new members including Hal Jordan of Earth. No one knows why his attitude changed and he started executing nasty tactics. Eventually he left the Green Lantern Corps and put on a yellow ring to form his own Sinestro Corps. He begins terrorizing people, coming up with nefarious ideas using his evil imagination. He meets other creatures—Arkillo, Flayt, Sirket, and Devil Dog, who all hailed Sinestro for his evilness. They also wear yellow rings. Jordon, Guardian of the Universe tries to stop Thall and his evil colleagues. This book is filled with adventure from the first to the last page and the illustrations are fantastic. Both boys and girls will enjoy this book. At the end of the book, the author includes a mini biography on the author and illustrators, a glossary, discussion questions, and writing prompts. This book is perfect for both school and home libraries, and it would make a wonderful gift.
