Overview

I'm not who they think I am. A docile girl who meekly obeys her stepmother and stepsisters. Some kind of sick angel who cheerfully bears their mistreatment. That's what I WANT them to think. Because then they won't suspect what I'm really up to.

The ball, the prince - it's all part of my plan to come out on top. Stepmother and her demented daughters will pay for every floor I have scoured, every sneer I have borne. They don't know about the white magic, how I use it to enhance myself. They can't see that my heart is black as midnight, rotten as a poisoned apple.

They're about to find out.

I meant to just read a little at first but couldn't stop until I finished. Cinderella has never been one of my favorite princesses but this one hooked me. I loved the storyline and character twists and the depths of Cinderella's character. I can't wait to read the next book!

I give this book 5 stars. A quick read that will keep you turning it's pages. Page after page is filled with twisted plots and it's absolutely worth the read. It could almost be a fairy tale in its self!

I would never have viewed the fairytale in the light that the author depicted, but it was a good quick read of about 100 pages.

I love fractured fairy tales. Do you? If you do than you should read this book! Sinful Cinderella is very sensible ( fairy tale wise ) and gives wonderul/creative reasons for why Cinderella is unhumanly cheerful and humble, even though she has been raised in cruelty. Like the author said, even the kindest of people snap at some point. So why didn't Cindy break? Answer- white magic. White magic - the more good deeds Cinderella does and the happier she is when doing those deeds gets her more magic. If she sins ( gets angry, argues, is mean ) she loses magic. The magic can be used for just about anything as long as it doesnt involve hurting a person/animal. Fairy Godmother/Godnutter - At Cinderella's call she appears, slumped, crazy looking, and smoking a pipe. Godnutter is the one who bestowed the white magic upon Cinderella. Godnutter is not fond of Cinderella. Prince Charming - Oh he is charming alright, BUT I wont tell you more than that...... Step Mother/Sisters: ( going by nicknames) Mother - classic evil step-mother, but with a few strands of sympathy. She hates Cinderella..... obviously. Loony - She is F.A.T. Thats all you need to know about the spoiled brat. Moody - Picture the dullest person ever. Or picture someone who never shows emotion ( Always has a Mod Pie face, if you know what I mean:) All in all its a good read, you will like it.

I love fractured fairy tales and this one is wickedly fractured! I adored seeing Cinderella as a brat. The fairy godmother was a hoot, and the end was twisted enough that I was surprised and delighted.

Loved this book and I'm eager to read another twisted fairy tale by Anita Valle!!! I loved the spin the author took on the fairy tale and loved how the author left the reader wanting more. I would highly recommend this book and I'm going to start on her princess series soon!!!

Could have been better. She could have been evil. But the Prince and his daughter should have been good. And that goodness could have thawed her heart.

AWFUL! While it is definitely a "new-spin," evil princesses is just wrong! I dumped it within the first couple chapters. Thank goodness I got it for free.

This is a wonderfully twisted version of the classic story of Cinderella. In this version, Cinderella doesn't only want to go to the ball. Oh, no, no, no, she wants to be queen so she can seek out revenge on her step sisters and step mother. She wants to make all the women of the kingdom envious of her. She wants to be the most beautiful woman and puts all her energy into earning the magic to make her the loveliest of them all. There is an amazing twist you learn at the end of the story. I was like... wait... wha? But, I can't tell you! Spoilers! Just know that Cinderella is not as sweet and innocent as she is in the classic tale. This one is darker, but fun. It's a quick read, super simple, but very entertaining. I will admit, at the beginning I was slightly put off by it because I love the Grimm Brothers version and the Disney version and this one is completely different from both of those. Cinderella herself was twisted and darker in this one and that is where I was having trouble. However, once I accepted her as a dark version of Cinderella, I began enjoying the story a lot more. It was also a little slow at the beginning but really picked up about half way through.
