Intense. Devoted. Protective.
Michael Sloan is all of the above, with a hard tough edge to boot. He's not the guy he used to be. Years ago, before all the s&%t went down, he was laidback, carefree, and even happy-go-lucky.
Life changed him. Hardened him.
There's one woman though who can break down his walls. Someone who knew him then. Who can reach inside to that heart he protects fiercely...because she's the only one he ever gave it to. When they collide, it's tender and savage, gentle and rough, and makes them both hungry for more of this electric, once-in-a-blue moon kind of sexual chemistry. But it's a battle of wills between Michael and the woman he loves, with words and emotions held close to the vest.
She doesn't believe she can ever move on from her own heartache, but when Michael makes her feel for the first time in years, it's both thrilling and scares the hell out of her, setting off all her flight instincts. He's determined not to lose her again, but he'll have to learn to let her in if he ever wants to fully heal from the past...
The problem is, she knows something about the night his family shattered. She has the missing puzzle piece...but neither one of them realizes it.
YET.

## BORING AND LONG. The only good thing about this book is the photo on the cover (Nice job Steffen). This book was a huge disappointment. The plot was way too convoluted, and there were way too many inconsequential characters. So boring. I could overlook all the gang, drug and murder stuff, if the romance had been good. But unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The whole dead husband trope ruined this romance. He was in the book as much as the hero. It was ridiculous. Of course Michael felt like he was second choice, because he was. God, it just went on and on. And on. I do NOT recommend this book. Even if you've read the others like me, it's just not worth it. The mom, the shooter, and the driver are already in prison before this book. Trust me when I say, let that be enough.

SINFUL LOVE I am in tears since 70% of the book, and the story has some many edges, corners and twists that have you floating all along the way. The kind of book you can’t stop reading and at the same time don’t want it to finish. No doubt an incredible story of love, family ties, courage, faith, and hot as hell characters that make impossible to choose which you love most. Sinful Love is the most thrilling end that this story can have, surprising you in every chapter. Thanks to Lauren for creating this people and giving us the opportunity of knowing them all. You definitely will love this book and would want to read them all four over and over again

Still investigating his dad's murder from almost 20 years ago. Was it more than his mom collecting the insurance money and running away with her lover. Michael meets up with his 1st love after almost 20 years. He has never stopped loving her. Although she married another man now she is a widow and back in his life. He doesn't want to throw away this second chance to be with the woman he thought was his forever. He wonders if she feels anything for him still and if they can make their long distance relationship work. He tells her that he has never stopped loving her and that he wants to give them a chance. What he doesn't realize is that she can even help with his dad's murder investigation. Its true what they say about never forgetting your first love and when you get a second chance at that love you take it.

“Sinful Love” is the fourth (and final) installment in the Lauren Blakely’s Sinful Nights series. I can’t believe it’s over, but I think Lauren saved the best for last. It isn’t the first “long lost love” theme of the series, but it was the sweetest. Michael Sloan is the oldest of the Paige-Prince children, and I would definitely make the case that he’s the sweetest. And the most pragmatic. At least, he seems to be the one with the fewest “hang-ups.” The author connects Michael to her readers by taking us back to his teenage years, and giving us a glimpse of the easy-going, happy-go-lucky, completely smitten adolescent that he was. That is, before the tragic event that devastated and destroyed his family. In the years following that tragedy, however, Michael manages to find his bearing, confidently filling his father’s empty shoes, and providing stability to his broken family. Everything about Michael is “level-headed.” Except, of course, where Annalise Delecroix is concerned. That’s the one area where Michael has never quite managed to stabilize. Teenage love is such a powerful thing, and Michael and Annalise are a testament to that. Time, long distances, and the changes that young adulthood and life put in their path are no match for the connection these two characters have. It’s palpable, and Lauren Blakely is a master of not only telling readers what the characters are feeling, but showing them in such a way, that there were times when I was feeling it right along with them. Of course, the series could not end without solving the mystery of Thomas’s death. I read each book in this series trying to anticipate where the author was leading her readers with clues. Each installment threw me enough of a curve to both keep the story unpredictable and keep me craving the next book. And I’m happy to say, that the author was able to keep me guessing pretty much until the very end. Admittedly, I’m kind of sad to see the series end, but as they say, “all good things…” And if it had to end, then “Sinful Love” definitely ended it on a high. Five sweet, sinful, love-ly stars!

I loved it. This was a second (third?) chance romance at its best. If you can read this without falling a little in love with Annalise and Michael, you weren't paying attention. The background info on Michael and Annalise quickly lets you see that they are approaching their reunion with similar fond memories and feelings of when they were together, but from a different perspective. Annalise, you discover quickly, was married and her husband passed away. Michael has always been in love with Annalise. Michael is intense, passionate and so afraid of losing Annalise again that he is reluctant to tell her how he feels. But, after an amazingly sweet discovery on her part, he confesses all to her right before she gets into a cab to head back to Paris...although at that point, they have already decided to allow what they have to continue, an option that was not realistic when they meet as 16-year olds. While we wait for Annalise to admit she loves him, and is more than "falling" for him, Lauren Blakely gives little clues as to how Annalise feels, like watching him sit, holding his wine, and talking to her family...you see how she feels before she tells him. The entire book is just good. You just feel for both of them, your heart aches for them, and you don't want it to end.

Michael Sloan is the oldest, he has the most memories of his dad then the rest of the kids ( he is the one that found him dead ) . He fell in love young and life got in the way and an ocean . The he received a letter that has the chance to change the course of his life but will he take the chance. Annalise had to leave her 1st love , then a chance meeting in an airport years later and her facing a choice of staying loyal to the man is is engaged to or pick Michael her 1st love, she stays loyal , but lost her husband , now she had asked to see Michael well she is in the states and the sparks fly! AS their love re ignites the mystery of Michael's dads murder starts to unravel .This is a fast paced romantic tale of love and murder . This is the last story in this saga and it was a wonderful read . Start at the beginning if you have not read the others YOU need to for it to make the most sense. I don't know how to put into words all that there is in this story but its is worth the read

4.5 Stars! Missed connections, rekindled love and the resolution of a years-old murder make this a heartbreaking, exciting, dreamy and absolutely explosive conclusion to this series. Eighteen years ago, Michael Sloan was a carefree high school teenager in love with his girlfriend and excited about his future. And then life happened and he grew up very fast to become the brooding, intense and protective older brother of the Sloan siblings, in love with a woman he could never have and consumed with unraveling the mystery behind his father's death. Now his past is about to become his present, maybe his future and definitely the key to finding and bringing his father's killers to justice. Annalise was Michael's first love and the one woman he's always measured every other by, but time and distance weakened their connection and her marriage to another put her beyond his reach forever, or so he thought. But all it takes is one letter from her and he gets another chance to find out if their connection is real or just a figment of his imagination. I adore the fact that even though Annalise went on to find happiness, Michael was the only person she thought of when she wanted to get back into a relationship and that she took a risk that he would be open to reconnecting with her. This is such a sweet and old-fashioned love story that is reminiscent of old school romances and is definitely not one I would have associated with Michael Sloan before now, but we get to see a different side to him: the man who loves wholeheartedly, even to the extent of learning a whole new language for his ladylove, the man who cherishes hand-written letters over emails and text messages and we also see a man who has every reason to adore his father as much as he does. Annalise is very confident and without artifice and I loved her refreshing openness and honesty. I enjoyed the easy connection she had with Michael and the intense chemistry between them. In addition to bringing love back to him, it's fitting that she is the key to the final pieces needed to complete the investigation into his father's murder and bring him closure. This is such a great second chance romance and I loved all of it. Disclaimer: I received this book for free from the Author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I loved this romantic, sensuous, and heart-pounding second chance romance! This is the perfect conclusion to Ms. Blakely's exhilarating and sexy Sinful Nights series! I loved every romantic, sensuous, and heart-pounding moment. This second chance romance reunites Michael Sloan with his "What If?" girl, Annalise Delacroix. They met and fell in love while Annalise was a foreign exchange student in Las Vegas. When she had to return home to France they vowed to stay close and make their relationship work. When they are torn apart by time and distance, they are forced to go their separate ways with broken hearts. Now 10 years later Michael receives a letter from Annalise that she will be in LV for work and would like to get together. Their reunion ignites the long dormant feelings they both harbor and their desire to explore the "What If's". They remember their wonderful connection as young adults but now as bolder, dirtier, and more passionate adults they fit even better than before. But is that enough for two people who don't want to risk another broken heart and who still live on different continents? This is a very romantic and sensuous love story. I was drawn in to the nostalgic and personal feel of the written word, deep terms of endearment and the speaking of french in the throws of passion. Michael had me in tears about half way through as I felt the rebirth of their love and the struggle to protect themselves. He is so devoted, thoughtful, protective, romantic yet dominant. Annalise is a strong, loyal, caring heroine that really tugged at my heart as well. Their banter was fun, their chemistry was off the charts and I loved them together. Ms Blakely also expertly weaved a suspenseful mystery arc throughout this series. I was so enthralled in the flashbacks that revealed the events leading up to Michael's father's murder. The twists and turns in the story had me engaged as it picked up speed to it's thrilling conclusion. I cannot express how much I loved this whole series. The character's were all so intriguing, genuine and honest that I hate to let them go. Maybe we could get something about John & Mindy? :) This is definitely an exceptional series that shouldn't be missed!

Sinful Love the fourth and final book in the Sinful Nights series. This is Michael Sloan's story. This is my favorite book in the series for many reasons. Michael Sloan is the most romantic and sexy man with a heart of gold and an undying love. He is fierce and protective. This is a second chance romance that shows how true love will never die. I loved that Lauren made these characters real and raw. We get to see their love in the past and the present and how everything that happened made them who they are today. Like all the books in the series, the mystery, suspense and passion kept me glued to the pages. All the pieces to the puzzle fall together and we finally find out just who is responsible for their father's death. I couldn't of asked for a better conclusion to this series.

The Sloans have dealt with tragedy, secrets and betrayal. Having been exposed to a darkness that destroyed family and cost them more than they can ever replace. Each has tried to move on. Received an ARC of Sinful Love in exchange for an honest review. In Sinful Love, Lauren Blakely finally gives us the answers to an event that destroyed a family and the story behind the enigma that is Michael Sloan. Michael has been a mystery from the start of the Sinful Nights Series. Dark, brooding and lost. Was painful to see how he closed himself off to any happiness just to dwell in the heartbreak of the past. Lauren Blakely writes characters that are complex but haunting. Sad to see her Sinful Nights series come to an end but glad to have had the chance to take in this sexy, complicated and memorable ride.
