    A reviewer

I always make a point to watch the television Christmas specials of The Mormon Tabernacle Choir. As the choir sang "Still, Still, Still," I was so moved by it that I unexpectedly burst into tears. I went online to see if I could find the recording and, lo and behold, I discovered this gem. It's a true priceless treasure. This music is magnificent!

    Shimmering Chorus Reigns Supreme!

I have, for most of my life, enjoyed the beauty and majesty of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and alas, had taken it for granted ...that is, until I had the privilege of finding this gem among the Christmas music titles. I was actually looking for one particular piece (which happened to be on this playlist) when I found this collection. I knew, shortly upon pushing the 'play' button, that this would become one of my favorite Christmas CDs of a fairly large collection. This disc has not one, but FOUR John Rutter pieces, and given that Rutter is a musical and lyric genius, this would be enough for a lover of his music. Even so, upon the listening of "Candlelight Carol" I was brought to tears, more than once, by its sheer beauty and imagery. Further, the West Indies carol, "The Virgin Mary had a Baby Boy" proved that it could be very nicely done and entertaining, to say the least. Associate Director Mack Wilberg's arrangements for this disc are nothing short of brilliant. I think you will agree that this collection is some of MTC's finest Christmas work of all time.

    Best Christmas CD ever!

This is by far the best Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas CD out there. The recordings are absolutely wonderful. I particularly like Three Ships, although all songs are great.
