Raw and emotional.
It's not what life throws at you, but how you navigate your way through it all and thereby discover yourself that makes life meaningful and fullfilling. This story is graphically haunting as you follow the protagonist through a life of abusive relationships. Yet, powerfully, she succeeds in not only surviving through many nightmarish ordeals, but always manages to find the way to view what happened through the eyes of her own heart. The success of this story lies not in the courage that it took her to survive through the ordeals she's confronted, but the courage to reach deep down inside and fight the ultimate battle... confronting one's own soul, discovering who one really is and letting that light shine out fully into the world for all to see.
This book is a must read. Truly an inspirational story of survival. If you the author reads this thank you.
The most inspiring, emotional book I have ever read. I couldn't put it down till I finished, then it left me wanting more. I would recommend this book to anyone who has struggled with abuse of any kind.
