Overview

Herschel Henderson says, "I do," to gain access to his wife's money. Lexington Lewis vows for his better and her worse, and Brian Flaw claims until death do we part, but does he really mean it?

The one thing these men share is none of them will give up the sexual freedom they enjoyed as single men to make their marriages work. Herschel has a mistress that he sexes more than his wife and thinks nothing of it. Lexington is making love to as many women as he can, and Brian is sexing women of every ethnicity because he's become bored with his wife. Will their infidelties come back to haunt them in the end?

Not What I Expected From Mary B.

I didnt really like this one. It was a little wild for me and all over the place. I think it was a good story with a good plot and main idea but I think it had way too much extra. Some of it was just hard to believe and didnt seem realistic. Though it is fiction you should make the story sound believable so the person can picture themselves in that situation. I'm not a fan of homosexuals so the sexuality of the book and the openness kind of turned me off. I just really didnt like this as far as Mary as an author. I think she got a little to personal. That's just my opinion and I know stuff like this happens in the world everyday but I just don't want to read about it. Other people may like they fact that she got down and dirty and bared all in this one but I just couldnt get into it. FYI: There is a lot of homosexuality in this book. It is kind of disturbing.

    Not her best!

I'm a fan of Mary B. Morrison, but this was not her best work. I don't mind that fact that there was a lot of sex through out the book! (I mean hello... It's EROTIC FICTION!) Unfortunately just when the book started to get juicy, it ended. I didn't feel any real closure by the end of the book. It felt like the book just kept going on and on and she just finally needed to end it. Maybe it would have been better as 2 books. If you're into sex scenes this is the book for you. If you're looking for a story line... read one of her other books.

    Too Much Predictable Sex

When Jackie Collins does oversexed books, it is tasteful with a plot in mind. These oversexed, unrealistic, rich and power characters get on my nerves.
Where was the plot? What was the theme....sex? What was the climax.....it was glazed over.
Sometimes I wish authors would consider the elements of a story before just writing anything...I want my money back!
The only props this book gets is that HoneyB got it published.....she has done one thing I have not done.....

Great, easy read, however too descriptive. Could cut out some words, example Marcus turned the hot water on then the cold water took his shoes off, took his socks, took his pants off, just say Marcus took a shower. Other than that enjoyed the book

    Interesting...

This book was very interesting and enlightening. It will definitely make you look at things differently. You will see situations through a new set of eyes and that's not necessarily a bad thing. So glad I took the time to read it although it wasn't recommended.

    Unrealistic Porn

I get that the book is erotica, but literally there is so much sex in it that I skipped some of it just to get back to the storyline. And the story is definitely unrealistic. Everyone is sleeping with everyone. I will say I read all of it so it wasn't the worst book I've ever read, but if you're looking for something with depth I wouldn't recommend this. If you love erotica however go for it, there is plenty of sex in this book. One thing that turned me off from purchasing another book by her was telling all her personal business at the end about how she slept with a professional ballplayer. I for one felt it had no place in this book and made her look tacky. I even got the impression that they athlete was married. As a professional I felt she should not have placed that in the book, along with tips to attend sex clubs and beauty tips. She's doing too much in one book. If she wants to venture out into other avenues, she should do that separate from publishing books.

    Very Steamy

This book was hot and steamy from the very first page. It was a lot of sex scenes however the storyline was easy to follow and good. The character development was awesome. You are able to visualize each person and you began to relate and understand (not excuse) most of their behavior. I really enjoyed it because the scenes were set in South Florida which is where I am from so all the of landmarks I knew. I advise caution to those not use to erotica but it will definetely spice up your love life. I brought this book for a bookclub and some of the members were not happy with the fact that the book portrayed black men as cheaters. Initially I agreed but once you step back and read it for what it is: a novel, I enjoyed it. I recommend this to all having a little trouble with your libido and may need some sexual reading stimulation.

I wish I could get my money back!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish i never bought this book. It did nothing for, It was just way to much sex. And the story line never picked up right. Don't get me wrong it could have been a really good book if she left out some of the sex. I found myself counting the chapters so I knew I was almost done. That is not a good look at all. Sorry but i think I'm going to take a break from reading Mary B Morrison her last book where not that good.

    HARDCORE PORN

I didn't care too much for this book. It was full of hard-core porn that was not even realistic. The story wasn't good either. The book was unrealistic overall.

    "Another erotic tale by HoneyB"

The basis of this book is it is not in marriage vows to be monogamous. The three men in this book frequent freaky sex clubs, have other women emotionally hanging on the side, yet love their families. One of the men also loves his gay partner.
Through part of this book, I felt strongly that the author was taking up for the men. She also wrote compassionately about the painful emotions the women have-emotions of rejection and longing. In the end, will the wives stay?
There are dashes throughout the story of reasons for the men's infidelity-other than being jerks. They blame their women for being too un-kept. They blame them for being too masculine. I cannot help but to think that they were looking for some reason to blame the women. Of course, this is written by an "other woman".
Let's not ignore the heat. This is erotic fiction. Do not read this if you are faint of heart. This is not a book you want to be caught reading in public. My only complaint is how the chapters skip back and forth from character to character. I would rather it gone straight through one character before switching points of view.

    More Story Please!

Three married men and friends behave as if they are single. As a premise, it was worth exploring.

Unfortunately, "Single Husbands" has something else in mind. Just what, I'm not sure. Despite being told from multiple points of view, with alternating chapters told in the voices of the men, I didn't feel I knew them any better at the end of the book as I did with the beginning. Their egomaniacal behavior swamped their identities and any other qualities they possessed. With the exception of Nikki, Herschel's wife, we knew little to nothing about their wives. We didn't know why they did what they other than they could. As these couples came together, split up and regrouped in different pairs, it's hard to care much. "Single Husbands" isn't a terrible novel, but it's not much of a novel as there is more sex than an actual story. I've enjoyed Mary Morrison's previous work, but this failed to deliver.
