  • It all starts with a shiny sink! (and a pair of shoes)
  • How to remove clutter one "27 Fling Boogie" and "Hot Spot Fire Drill" at a time.
  • How to create daily and weekly routines and a control journal.
  • With FlyLady's system of working in Zones you never have to spring clean again.
  • Attitude is everything and with babysteps they too can find peace in their homes and lives.

Quotations, humor, and inspiring testimonials keep the reader moving chapter by chapter, babystep by babystep, through the process of learning about themselves, their homes, and the Peace they will find when the CHAOS is gone.

The FlyLady?. Marla Cilley, the FlyLady, knows all about CHAOS. She used to meet people on the front porch because she was too embarrassed to open the door. She is often accused of being a FLY on the wall because she knows what is in people's closets, under the beds, and in their basements. She knows the pain and suffering this causes. Over time, following one babystep at a time, Marla was able to climb out of her personal CHAOS. Then, in December 1999, Marla started an online mentoring to help just one person. Word of FlyLady's system spread quickly. By Jan 2001, there were 10,000 members. Today, there are over 100,000 members and still growing strong!

Though I find the system, overall, usable... The style of writing in the book and the way she presents it comes across a bit heavy on the religious side. That is not to say that I am not a spiritual person, but come on... is GOD going to come clean my house for me?!? NO! I have to do that for myself, and no amount of "God Breezes" will change that. The book she based her system from (Sidetracked Home Executives, available on this site too) is much lighter on that front and a bit more of a "walk-through", not to mention humorous. I found it much easier to work with.

This book is one of the best gifts I have ever received. I have been a Flybaby for only a month, but what a difference a month has made. I am no longer suffering from "Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrone" and I thought my case was terminal!
