This was simply the best book I've read in years! Plan to lose some sleep reading this one.

Don McGraw has written an impressive page-turner that had me on the edge of my seat. His insights into relationships, character development, and plot twists, was well beyond that of a first time writer. I can't wait for his next book!

While I always appreciate seeing my alma mater mentioned in print, it has officially been the University of Memphis since 1994. This is just one of several jarring notes in this ponderously and awkwardly written political thriller. Characters are thinly sketched, the plot is a clumsy derivative of Tom Clancy's "Clear and Present Danger," and the dialogue is clunky and tone deaf. I enjoy a good thriller with solid and complex plotlines navigated by believable, complicated characters. Unfortunately, this isn't it.

Slow going for me...too much minuate. I've laid it down several times, but refuse to have a book that I don't finish. I'm still struggling getting the last 100 pgs. read.

My first book by Don McGraw. I thought it was pretty good, but not quite the page turner I was hoping for. I thought the storyline was good, but it did drag a few times. I also thought the charcters need a little more fleshing out, especially the relationships between the 3 main characters.

Just in time for the Presidential primaries: A compelling journey into a shameless world of greed and lust for power, threatening the very heart of democracy. So authentic that you will look for the headlines on tomorrow's election-related news.

I will be honest, I was not at all sure I was going to enjoy this book. I was VERY wrong. It kept me up late at night trying to learn what happened with every new page. Read this, it will keep you guessing and may even make you question what goes on in politics. No, for the record, I do not think things this crazy truely happen. Enjoy!

Fabulous read - couldn't read it fast enough but then disappointed it was finished.  Very descriptive and inventive writing - found myself wanting to highlight all the time to return and re-read his wonderful phrases & sentences.  Locations seemed to pop out as actually before my eyes.  The treachery and deceit ever present in today's political games was perfectly  embedded into the believable story line.  Am purchasing his other two novels!!

This book really does make you think in today's political climate - what don't we know, how is media protecting those in power? Really makes you think

Great read...one of the best I have read in a long time. Loved how the plot evolved and kept the reader on edge wanting more. I highly recommend this book ...it shares the corruption of our government...just insert the names from our present administration and bingo! The details fell into place to peak your interest and question what if. Thanks for a great read!

It took a lot for me not to give up on this book, if not for the reviews I would have. It was slow until about the middle of the book then it really became a page turner. Not the best book I've read recently but it was worth holding out. Good weekend read.

A good read, good character development. They seemed like real people you could relate to and know. Provides suspense, mystery, unexpected twisted plots ,and who done it ? Recommend for a rainy day read and antisipated ending. Suspense, mystery solving and who done it? Suprisees, Twist through out the story.
