The seventh and final book in SM Reine's USA TODAY bestselling Ascension Series

There have always been three gods. Always.

Until Elise Kavanagh murdered them.

A demon named Belphegor has entered the Origin and become a new god, triggering genesis: the death and rebirth of the entire universe. He wants Elise to join him in Eden for the end of all things, but only once she’s watched everyone she cares about die painfully under his heel.

With nothing but a dwindling army of werewolves, Elise must enter Eden, slaughter Belphegor, and stop the genesis. But Belphegor’s smarter than Adam ever was, and far crueler. He’s spent lifetimes preparing for this.

He will have his world of Hellfire. He will have victory. And he will have Elise’s life…

I Couldn't Be More Happy and Sad At the Same Time

There is so much I want to say about this book. About this series! The last time I had such an addiction to an author and series would be JK Rowling’s Harry Potter series. I didn't want this series to end, and I think there is definitely room for an Epilogue short story?? **elbow nudges SM Reine**

The very first books in the Descent Series gave me nightmares, and I thought that would subside after continuing to read the series, which it did. I was even able to eat meals while reading and not feel queasy. But this last book to the Ascension Series has definitely brought back the nightmares! And I liked it.

In the final installation of the Ascension Series, we find Elise Kavanagh doing everything she can to stop Belphegor and his Fates. The majority of this book is at climax, with only a few falling action parts reverting back to climax as you leap from character to character. It all ties in nicely in the end (as everything is interconnected) with one small, but significant twist that I needed to read twice before understanding what it meant. :)

No spoilers here, though! Pick up this book, READ IT!!

Great book and awesome end of the 2 series- Descent and Ascensio

Great book and awesome end of the 2 series- Descent and Ascension. This book started out a little choppy for me and I generally have trouble with imagining the dimension shifts, but that's just me. Things really got rolling after a couple of chapters and one again SM Reine gives us a page turner with tons of action and a fabulous and poignant resolution to Elise and James' - and the entire worlds- story.
She is a wonderful Indie Author and I highly recommend her books to anyone who likes Urban fantasy, shifter/angel & demons, and hardcore action. Not for the feint of heart!
