Meet the Author

Helen Lloyd Montgomery has been a writer since the third grade when she successfully negotiated a deal with her teacher to write stories using her weekly spelling words rather than write them out ten times each. She and her cat Turbo Tasha currently reside in Minnesota, where Helen is driven by the bitter winter weather to keep warm by exercising her fingers over a hot keyboard. She invites you to visit her website at hlmontgomery.com where you can find discount coupons for Skinwalker Moon, as well as a recipe for delightful little cookies you'll want to keep all for yourself.

    Hahaha

Okay, take into account i have a slightly warped senseof humor but this one cracked me up. The author hit a whole new bizarre level of just plain WRONG!!!! Kudos for putting out something tongue in cheek silly!! It wont appeal to the literary snobs but if you have a silly sense of humor you might enjoy it. 38 pages

It was an interestingly funny twist to the vampire genre. Quite enjoyable

    I love hummingbirds

I love hummingbirds so the story was a bit offensive. But if you dont care about thousands of hummers being burned to death its a okay story. Its a waste of time but a quick read.

    Much ado about nothing.

Interesting premis - blood sucking hummingbirds. Thank God it was short, because it turned out to be anything but interesting.

Laughable (only to keep from crying)

But then again, so are farts when you are ten. Ok, 25 if you are a male. For some reason that kind of thing stays funny with the guys, along with seeing someone else getting hit in the groin. This story however was kind of like getting punched in the groin. Sure some people will laugh, and some will tell there friends about it, but really there is no lasting effect or purpose for this story. Joe V.

    Funny

This little book is so funny!! Great parody on all the vampire crap going on out there. If you hate all the " Vampire Romance " and such this will tickle your funny bone.

Entertaining - check it out for a quick read

I love hummingbirds and this short story puts a twist on what the little guys must be thinking some times. If you are a reader who can put a little imagination ontop of what is written, you will enjoy a little respit from serious books.

    Off-Putting

I spent the entire read being slightly disgusted and more than a little confused waiting for it to get better. Hoping that the reason for some of the author's more gratuitous choices would be explained, I read on. I was ultimately left dissapointed. This one's not really worth the space in my nook.

An original story that lacks much depth

Sissy the Vampire Hummingbird Slayer is a story with an original concept, that falls short of its own potential. The story isn't very deep, but it's fun and creative. At only 20 pages, it's a quick but enjoyable read. Not much is offered in terms of character development, and the plot is very shallow.

If you're looking for something that's different, fun to read, and won't take up much of your time, then this story is a good choice for you.
