I was expecting, I think a more "matter of fact" kind of book. While it did give some history and insight, it felt more like a very long booklet someone would leave at your door. I wanted to understand the religion not be converted too. Way too much scripture.

The author has captured the essence of life as a Morman woman. The fears, joys, love, desires, Faith, hopes and the everyday lives. She has a candid, though provoking style of writing. Her life experiences were of great interest to me personally, there is so much of the Mormon church that seems shrouded in mystery, The author has opened this up and helped me gain an understanding. It is not a candy coated, green jello piece of work. There were times I had that uncomfortable but compelling feeling of being a witness to highly personal and important crossroads and near 'car' crashes in the lives of these women. I loved it and would highly recomend it!
