This book highlights the experiences of Minnesota woman/nurses who participated in the Vietnam War. There were many reasons women enlisted; the military tuition program, a chance to travel, meet people and have adventures. There was also the familiar phrase echoed by JFK speech; "Ask not". I didn't realize there was a Vietnam's Woman Memorial and we owe its inception to Minnesota nurses who began the battle to make sure it was created. This book looks and reads like a textbook; but it's the stories and pictures of the women that resonate with those of us who believe humility and compassion are the highest honor. Was this review helpful?
