Warming countless hearts and bringing history to life, Lauraine Snelling's Sisters of the Confederacy is an exciting tale of courage, adventure, and romance.

After finding her expected safe haven destroyed, Jesselyn Highwood must decide where to turn next. With no place left to go, Jesselyn decides to head west on the Oregon Trail. Here she encounters hardship, danger on the journey--and love.

Meanwhile, her sister, Louisa, smuggles desperately needed supplies for the hospital in Richmond where she helps care for wounded soldiers. As both sisters face the ravages of war, one remains strong in her faith while the other struggles to understand a God who allows such atrocities to continue.

It was outstanding I cryed and I laughed it was so good i really hope there will be a sequil to it , I can't wait to find out what happens,i really think Jesse (Jesselynn)went through a lot and she was very nobel and how she handled things was good for her age back then, I hope people will read this and get from it what was meant for them to get, like the fact that no matter what, we will always need are heavenly Father and no matter what we will always get through with His help. Well I am very anxious for the next book. :)

I got this book from the library because I did want not to pay the $5.99 fee for the e-book. It is the third and book in the series. There was a lot more religion in this book. There wasalso a large gap of time missing near the end of the book. There was more death in this book also. The ending left me wanting more. The other two books just stopped, there was some resolution with this one. I felt really sorry for the oldest brother, even if his own self pity and experiences had turned him into a jerk. All three books only covered a span of about ten years, but an awfull lot happened during that time frame. This was a nice, clean read. For ages 16 and up. Almost 300 pages in length. AD

This was an excellent book I had read the first book in the series and it was also very good. Lauraine Snelling is an excellent writer and I would recommend her books. I think I have read most all the books she has in print.

I enjoyed the book very much, however I was very disappointed with the formatting of the book. At times it seems as if the pages are caught in a loop, even using the Go To feature will not advance it. It took several times to actually get the pages to advance. I expected this type of thing to happen in some of the free books, but not ones that I pay for.

Great book! I couldnt put it down! The only complaint is that at around page 90 on my nook there was about a whole chapter missing. Not too happy about that but the story was great. Cant wait to read book 3.
