Overview

Jack London Clarke has just issued a stunning ultimatum to his wife. Following a damaging confrontation over his suspected infidelity, he prepares to flee his suburban Chicago estate when a knock upon the front door delivers a most unlikely character, who sends Jack's personal life spinning out of control. Consumed by a life of entitlement, excess and temptation, Jack has grown ignorant to his own moral decay and his hardened heart has pushed the three women who love him most to the brink. When his family turns up missing, he is forced to face the reality of his ways, and the realization that the life he once had, but never knew, may be lost forever. With a rejuvenated thirst for his family's forgiveness and with only a mysterious telegram, improbable e-mail, and antique newspaper as his guides, Jack is thrust into an epic, unsuspecting journey of redemption and self-discovery. Searching in a culture long past, he stumbles upon a group of welcoming strangers who reintroduce him to those things in life which are most important. Only when Jack confronts the skeletons of his own past and empties his soul of the scars of a debauched childhood can he hope of ever seeing his family again.

    This is a MUST READ!!!!!

This is the best book I've read in a long time. I was on the edge of my seat from the beginning. The author makes you feel like you are in the story with the characters and it is really hard to lay the book down and not wonder what is going to happen next. I strongly recommend this book with its amazing storyline front to back. I was captured the whole time and hated when it ended. Great read!!!!!!!

Six Bits is an excellent novel that captivates from the beginning. Author Michael Ringering does an excellent job detailing each character and the many different settings, making the reader feel as if they are in the story. The book was hard to put down, and left me thinking about the characters and plot when I was not reading it. A great book and a must read!

    What a read!!

The novel throws several surprises at us as we try to determine whether Jack Clarke can save himself (and his family). From Chicago to rural Wisconsin, the journey is not normal. Long after you finish reading, you will still be thinking about the characters and issues from "Six Bits". What a trip!!

    A must read

From the first few pages I was hooked. Mr. Ringering has a gift rarely seen in modern day authors. He engages the reader and will transform you to places and possibilites rarely considered by the average adult. The message of hope and redeemption is refreshing. I felt like I was right there with Jack, Jubel, Petee and all the rest of the characters. Woiuld recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read. It was quite a ride!
