In light of the current Middle East situation, this book gives the reader an insight into the past history of the conflict.
Although written by a Jew, the account is even handed and fair. Men like Nassar, Eshkol, Dayan & Hussein are shown to be truly men. This story contains no hagiography & is fair to all concerned.

It seems like the pages of Amb. Oren's book are taken from today's front pages. The rumblings of 2013 happened in 1967, generally speaking.
Not only are the movements of history in 1967 explained in detail but the thinking of the major players are also described. Amb. Oren's research is A+ and his effort to be balanced in the Arab/Israeli conflict is excellent.
This is a book for the ages. Buy it.
