Overview

From Brian Keene, Jack Ketchum, Edward Lee, J.F. Gonzalez, Bryan Smith, Wrath James White, Nate Southard, Ryan Harding, and Shane McKenzie comes a new horror novel unlike anything you’ve ever read!

What starts like a haunted house novel as written by the Marquis de Sade develops into a meta-deconstruction of hardcore horror and why we love sex and violence.

There is something seriously wrong with the house at Sixty-Five Stirrup Iron Road. Its history is awash with sadistic violence and fiendish sex. For generations the house has corrupted its inhabitants. Now Arrianne and Chuck have moved in, and the house is ready to hunt once more. But this time the house’s occupants won’t be the only targets. No one is safe-not the reader, not the authors, and not the horror genre itself…

Nine of the biggest names in horror fiction collaborate on a gore-and-sex-soaked novel with all proceeds benefiting modern master of crime and terror, Tom Piccirilli.

It was riveting. Lots of gore. I couldn't put the book down...until near the end. When they introduced the authors as God like characters near the end, killing off their own characters to correct story lines, the whole story fell apart at that point. No closure to the story at all. Really disappointed. It kind of just ended with one of the authors getting butt raped by a ghost. Lame.

This was a very enjoyable read. The basis for the story is ( I believe ) Edward Lee started the story and writes a chapter or so, then sends it to the next great erotic story writer who then continues the story for a chapter or so then passes on to the next author to add his ideas for the story. In gets so nutty ( in a good way) that one of the writers adds all the erotic writers into the story at one point. The story line is about a house with a very evil past that effects all who come to live in it All the occupants get extremely strong sexual urges and do and really enjoy sexual things they would never normally ever dream of doing. Enema baths? It's here. Using a high heel to get yourself off on? Yip, it's here. Roman baths, golden showers? It's here. If these type of things are your thing, this is your book. Found myself saying, no, can't get any more sicker, but it sure as hell did. Really enjoyed this story. Now I need to look for more if this sick stuff!
