Skagway: Alaska Gold Rush Cemeteryby Glenda J. Choate
This History and Guidebook was developed by Alaska Archives Resource and Records Management, the first in a series of books proposed on the history of events in the Lynn Canal area of southeast Alaska. It contains a history of the gold rush cemetery, chronicling 19 people who were buried in the City Cemetery between 1897 and 1908. The remains of most deaths were returned to other homes, when it was possible to do so. Period newspaper articles are included in the book, along with early photos.
