Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Louanne Jacobs
Not since Art Speiglman and Walt Disney has a comic book mouse garnered such a devoted following of readers. Young readers and old have found joy in the hilarious adventures of Babymouse. Though marketed for a very young audience, I, as an adult reader, openly admit to eagerly awaiting each new addition to the "Babymouse" series. This seventh in the series certainly does not disappoint. Training to compete as an ice skater proves to be more work than Babymouse ever dreamed. Early morning practices, a grueling schedule, and homework completed in the car to and from school and the rink require commitment and sacrifice. But can Babymouse give up her beloved cupcakes for the sake of her training diet? Follow Babymouse as she goes for the gold and meets her newest nemesis, Ginger, in this delightful addition to the typical trials and tribulations of growing up Babymouse. And stay tuned for Babymouse Puppy Love—I already have my place reserved in the bookstore queue. Reviewer: Louanne Jacobs
