    Great gift idea

Perfect gift for the high school art student. Matched with some sketching pencils and you're all set.

    Why Barnes & Noble!

One can choose hundreds of stores or shops to purchase books of their choice, and I was a person who did just that. Barnes & Noble however, have more than just books, they have a great coffee house within their stores! They have a wide variety of books and publications. But the thing that has always stood out with my experience with Barnes & Noble is the courteousness of their employees. They go above and beyond what employees have shown to me at -those other shops and store-. So, why Barnes & Noble? The employees there seem to take pride in where they work and what they do!

    Not bad at all

To tell you the truth this is a great sketch book for dry media like pencils and colored pencils. The paper is a good thickness and texture, so it's really good. the only problem I have with it is it's binding. the Binding is kinda low quality and weakens pretty easily. It's not perfect bound, but kinda glued So stretching the book open too much will cause it to fall apart over time faster. I recommend the Spiral bound version of this book.

A collections of blank pages to write on.

It's a spiral bound sketchbook with blank pages and solid black covers. It opens flat and fits in a backpack. You can doodle or write words on the pages. You can use a pencil, sharpie, ball-point pen or crayons, but oil-based paints are not recommended. Mine is filled with random notes about projects and bad sketches, but you can also fill yours with phone numbers, thoughts about the teachings of the Dali Lama, your favorite recipes, lyrics from a song, sketches of your dog (or cat), plans for rearranging your living room or a list of important holidays. The possibilities are relatively limitless.
