I've had this sketchbook for years now. The covers are very hard and sturdy, but the spirals are very firm and rigid & won't bend without abuse and can be bent back into place should something happen to them. The paper itself is a very soft smooth texture and doesn't yellow at all from what I can tell. The paper is pretty thick and handles a lot, but I haven't tried any light washes or heavy inking. The sticker says it's suitable for light washes however should you need it. DO NOT use the first and last pages! The black paper on the inside of the cover kind of lints off on the inside pages and has gross black stuff all over it over time! I found that out the hard way and one of my sketches has an interesting texture to it now... Other than that, it's a really great if you love spiral bounds and have difficulty finding sturdy spirals with soft paper inside.
