Great Book! A Must Read for all Medical Thriller Fans!

This is the first novel I have read by Bill Clem. I am so glad I discovered this fantastic storyteller! Skin Deep is an intriguing and fast-paced medical thriller that grabs you from page one and holds on! Bill Clem is another Robin Cook, one of my all-time favorite authors. The story revolves around Dr. David Reel whose research has produced a medical miracle for burn victims. David is not aware that someone he works closely with hates him and is determined to destroy him. He is too obsessed with a secret project that is so bizarre it is taking over his mind. When his work is tampered with and his patients¿ lives are endangered, David is pushed to the brink of insanity, and the story escalates to a shocking and nightmarish end.

    Great read

When I read the synopsis for this book, I expected a good read. Instead, I got a fantastic read. RN-turned novelist Clem, weaves a chilling plot of science unloosed in the hands of the obsessed. With its sympathetic protagonist and a female villian that will make you cringe, Skin Deep is far better than the usual 'cookie cutter' medical thrillers that line bookstore shelves. Looking forward to more from this very talented writer.
