All Music Guide - Tim Griggs
As a debut album, Skin shows a lot of promise. Regrettably, Ephraim Lewis did not live to make another album. Reminiscent of Seal, Lewis produced catchy soulful pop music. Includes the jazzy minor hit "Drowning in Your Eyes" and the appropriately titled "Sad Song." Fine performances and nice understated production throughout.

This cd is one of the most memorable of the early 90's. Drowning

This cd is one of the most memorable of the early 90's. Drowning In Your Eyes is still as hauntingly beautiful as I remember. Love it still.

THE GROOVE OF SKIN LIVES ON

It's amazing how my listeners buzz the phones when I spin Drowning In Your Eyes. Always a good move when I pull this out to play.

Ephraim Lewis Stopped at that album because

Ephraim Lewis murdered himself after this cd came out. He was a talented and loving person.

    Where IS Ephraim Lewis now

I too wonder why he stopped with just one album. Ever since I got this album I have been watching for the next - nine years now! Every song is finely crafted, building up to the entire album as a work of art. EPHRAIM LEWIS, WHERE ARE YOU???

Why did he stop with just one record?

Ephrim Lewis's skin is excellent form start to finish. Everyone I share it with want to buy it. You won't believe how quickly this album gets under you skin.
