    Not so useful pregnancy book

In the beginning of the book the author's have a "disclaimer" stating that they say it like it is. What they really are trying to do is ruin the appetite of any pregnant woman. I was really disappointed with the book and returned it to the store. Thank goodness I read this book after my morning sickness was over, I might have thrown up reading their extremely graphic details of animal slaughtering. I would not recommend this book to anyone. I have no idea how the author's got a doctor to write a recommendation for this book. In case you are still considering buying this book I will let you know what they say in a nutshell: milk is more harmful than good, and they recommend not eating eggs, meat, poultry, diary products, and most carbohydrates. They leave us with a very specific list of food (down to the brand) you can buy, mostly made of soy. The authors in fact want you, the reader, to turn vegan during your pregnancy. Please for your own sanity go buy Great Expectations or What to Expect While Your Expecting, instead

    Great book for pregnant vegans

I don't think pregnancy is a good time to go vegan (just like it wouldn't be a good time to stop being vegan) because your body is going through enough without a huge dietary change! That said if you are already vegan this is a great book!

So worth it - changed all my eating habits!

Not only is this book no B.S. straightforward, but it's filled with tons of great research to back it up. It has a great chapter on what to buy and even has four weeks of menu plans! I knew a lot of this information when I started the book, but learned a ton and will share it with everyone I know.

    HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED!!!

PLEASE just spend the hour reading this ebook at your local BN. It is so not worth it and I really wish I had not downloaded it. I would rather eat red clay and read books on government during my pregnancy rather than read this book, if that's what you want to call it. Too bad there are no refunds....I will not be reading anything either of these authors have to say any time soon...HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!!

    Love These B*tches!!!

Rory and Kim do it again. After starting a nation-wide movement with their #1 selling book Skinny B*tch, these two great friend and co-authors continue to be a positive, motivating force in the lives of vegans, vegetarians and just those looking to make healthier food choices while being wildly entertained. I reccommeend this book highl to anyone pregnant or trying to become pregnant. It is packed with detailed, research-based info on how to eat when pregnant, what to stay away from for the health of both baby and mommy, and how to make well-informed, educated decisions about the health of your growing child. Rory and Kim also continue to educate th public on the corruption in the food industry (specifically the meat and dairy industries) and how to read labels to understand EXACTLY what you are ingesting. For non-vegans or vegetarians it may be a great leap to make all of the changes the book calls for at once when you becom pregnant, but all changes this book reccommends are truely for the health of your growing baby. *****Excellent Read!!!

This Book Worth the BAD Language!

I am a Christian woman and thought I would have a hard time getting past the fowl language. THIS BOOK IS WORTH THE BAD LANGUAGE. The intense language sets this book apart from any other and it gets the 'point' across.

I will keep this in my permanent library and read it even after I'm not expecting. GREAT information!

    Great Info, Hard to Apply

I found this book to be highly informative about the crap we eat, unfortunately my hormones are raging and I just can't help myself. It is so hard to follow the daily suggested foods when my body wants to eat NOW and when I want such specific things. I feel like such a failure as a pregnant mom knowing what I do now about specific foods but I also feel an extremist to follow this book cold turkey!

These women have no right to be belittling and hateful to pregnant women.  They are also endangering babies with their bad advice!

If you're already a vegan there really isn't any new information

If you're already a vegan there really isn't any new information for you in this book.  I found myself skimming over parts about slaughter houses and other reasons for going vegan because I already am have heard it before.  If you're thinking about going vegan then this is a good book to give you a crash course. But I didn't feel like it answered any questions I had about going into a vegan pregnancy.

Good if your willing to become a vegan

This product is good because the author is very truthful about what is or is not good for you when you are pregnant. However I feel that some topics were a bit extrema.

    Over the top

I'm all for healthy eating, but unless you intend on becoming a Vegan, this book isn't very useful. Although some of the information is interesting, I believe there are much better books about prenatal nutrition. Real Food for Mother and Baby by Nina Planck is a good choice.

Listen to the video feed before you buy it.

This book series came to find me by referral of a friend that lost 40 lbs in two months. That is 20 lbs a month, 5 lbs. a week, perfectly within the allowable weight loss range of doctors and lacking the weird disclaimer that you often see on weight loss schemes stating that these gorgeous people we are looking at all lost these huge amts of weight, but the results are unlikely. This series is very rare, because you will clean your body of all the toxins it is harboring and stop polluting your body with things that it cannot digest and is allergic to, and you will become healthier, and thinner as a side effect. I can not believe all the negative comments about this books language. LOOK AT THE TITLE! The author states it is irreverent, which is kind of funny. It is crude, derogatory, you name it, but the facts are true. And anyone who does not want to eat vegan should have read what the book was about before buying it! It is written by two vegans.....Don't you think they might tell you how to be vegan? I wish these came in a censored version because I'm going to hide them for fear of my 12 yr old daughter seeing them in my possession and reading them and thinking it is okay to talk down to people and treat them as these authors do. Straightforwardness is one thing, but potty-mouth is another. As a breastfeeding mom, this book is great.
