I really, really liked it! For all ages!

I was looking for an adventure book that I could read and that would be approriate for my kids. I wanted to read it aloud to them, and after I read it, I read it to them. It was just great! No sex, swearing or even magic - just adventure. Especially liked the humor and the characters. Both kids couldn't wait for bedtime. Now THAT is a great review. Hope there is another - I heard it is under way. Touching for adults as the Father-son thing is always powerful for families. Somewhat fantasical in that life on a sailing ship back then must have been harsh, but it IS fiction. Loved the history.

Fabulous tale. Adventure from start to finish. Found myself reading a few minutes each night before bed. During the following day I found myself many times wondering what was going to happen in tonight's episode. Very much looking forward to the next book. I have also somehow picked up the phrase "What are ya daft?" and seem to use it frequently.
