The Sky-Liners

( 41 )

Overview

The Sackett boys weren't out to make a reputation--it just happened that way. They had crossed Black Fetchen and lived to tell about it. Now Fetchen was coming for them with the most expensive hired guns in the country. But the Sacketts were no strangers to trouble. They knew what guns were and how to use them, and one thing was sure--when the showdown came, the Sacketts would be ready, and someone was going to die.

    I loved it!

Louis Lamour is one of my favorite authors. It is early American historical western adventure at its best. This is one in a series of the Sacketts. Reading them in order gives a fantastic panoram of how the west moved west. Starting in Shooting Creek,NC and going to the west coast, following generation after generation of the Sackett Family is not only thrilling but educational. He lived what he wrote about. Any one from Middle school through adult would enjoy Louis Lamour.
