Overview

Coming from a poor family that lives in an old farmhouse, fourteen-year-old Skyra Murphy has been bullied by her peers for most of her life. Feeling lonely and isolated, she has no one to befriend her, so she turns to nature for friendship and comfort.
One day while running away from a group of bullies, Skyra lands in another dimension: a faery world, a world that the faeries call the In Between.
Alone and afraid in a strange world, she meets many amusing characters that try to help her find her way home. But the only way home is help from the great Empress Etain, and she will only help Skyra if she retrieves their sacred object.
The catch is that it has been stolen by an evil goblin, and they think it has been hidden in the physical world. Can lonely and terrified Skyra save herself and the In Between by returning their sacred object?
