It's a Blackbird Christmas in July!

The novella Slay Belles is a short novel about the Blackbird Sisters, not as long as a full book, but short enough to read at the beach. In this fun story, Nora Blackbird investigates the murder of a snobby personal shopper who gives preferential treatment to her big-spending customers. One customer must have been dissatisfied, though, because she winds up dead in the department store's Christmas display. What I like about this book is that Spike the obnoxious dog is back! Sister Libby helps solve the crime, and gets mixed up with Santa Claus along the way, and hunky Mick the mafia prince is on the scene, too. I love Mick! He is so great in this book! I can't wait for NO WAY TO KILL A LADY, but this is a good story to keep me happy until it comes out.
