As a die hard insomniac I tried this and I must say, I have never been able to get through it because I am sound asleep after the first few minutes of putting this on. I woke up exactly at the end of it. The quality is excellent and the clarity is great, I recommend using with ear phones for best results. I have many of these "sleep aids" and this one is the first to knock me out within the first 4 minutes of hitting "play", and keeping me out until it clicks to end.
I highly recommend it for people who need an hour nap. It didn't keep me asleep throughout the entire night however, but for the hour I did sleep, I woke up refreshed, calmer, and fully rested..

Waste of money!!!!!
Two minutes into track 5, I finally got out of bed to shut it off because it was just annoying me. I did not find it relaxing - quite the opposite. It's heavy on piano (which I'm not fond of) and it's just a very sloooooooooooooooooooow rendition of a lullaby. As a musician, it was creating anxiety because it was dragging! I just kept wanting to shout, "Spit it out, already!!!" I won’t even keep this as a “pleasant sounding” CD (regardless of the sleep factor).
Then I loaned it to a family member and she played it for quite awhile and it didn't help her relax or get sleepy, either. She turned it off and went back to her regular New Age playlist.
It's bad enough to be tired & unable to sleep. It's worse when a "proven-effective" sleep aid has the opposite effect.
I also don't appreciate that the "subliminal" part of this was not noted on the product description. I would not likely have bought it if it had. And, the cover on the CD that landed is different than that shown here. I don't know if that's significant or not. But I want a refund. This is garbage. And the little short sound clips for previewing aren't at all representative.
Stick to some of the other instrumental New Age releases (many FREE on here) - they are much more relaxing and pleasant to listen to.
