After two failed marriages and countless relationships, Sandra Holiday thinks she's met the man to end her years of less than perfect choices; choices that not only derailed her travel-related career plans but also left her single and broke. Carson Holiday, a Las Vegas country crooner with swoon-inducing good looks, spent his adult life pursuing a recording contract and love, never holding on to either. Reviewed by Ellen Hogan for Readers Favorite Sandra thinks that her future is wrapped up in Wesley. That is until he asks her to be his personal assistant. Wesley's tenant Eva tries to warn Sandra away from Wesley, and Sandra begins to think that Eva is stalking her. Then Sandra's ex Carson comes to town and her feelings for him become all confused. Meanwhile, her sister Abby's marriage hits a rocky place, and Sandra wants to help her sister through it. The true reason for Carson’s appearance, a mysterious secret admirer and Eva throw Sandra on a path of dangerous surprises. "Sleeping with the Lights On" has lots of quirky characters: Wesley the rich sort of boyfriend, his tenant Eva and his ex-girlfriend Azalea each lends a new facet to the storyline. It was fun watching Sandra and Carson’s relationship develop. "Sleeping with the Lights On" is a wild ride that fans of romance will want to take.

I recommend Sleeping with the Lights On for the hair-raising suspense as well as the melt your heart romance. --Coffee Time Romance and More, July 2010 Cheers to Whiteside for writing a heroine who exists outside of conventional romance novels in terms of age and marital status...novel is written with a pleasantly light sense of humor... --RT Book Reviews, June 2010 "a page turner...characters come instantly alive, and their lives intertwine seamlessly in this fast paced romance..." --Ana Morgan, The Muse, June 2010
