More About This Book

Overview

Kathryn is a little girl with a big imagination. Everyone that knows and loves her calls her Sleepy Head because when she sleeps, her dreams take her on adventures that are out of this world-literally.

In "Sleepy Head Goes to Outer Space," written by delightful new children's author James Bray and illustrated by award-winning artist Heidi Graf, disaster has struck: the world is out of milk. Sleepy Head's imagination takes her on a risky trip to outer space with special orders from the president to get milk from the only place milk comes from-the Milky Way, of course.

With the help of her trusted crew-Ed the eagle, Pete the pelican, and Mickey the monkey-Sleepy Head dodges danger and brings a supply of milk back to earth while learning about planets, comets, constellations, and the value of teamwork. Sleepy Head books encourage children to dream-and to dream BIG!

A simply written, engaging story, beautifully illustrated

The best children's books strike a balance between enough words and illustration to spark a child's imagination and too much of the same to cause their minds to be lazy. And this story strikes that balance perfectly. Well done and fun!
