What an excellent story to read to children in October, by a camp fire or with a flashlight shinning underneath your chin in a dark room. The author keeps the reader guessing as to who or what will turn up and where in the story. One minute they are on the road, the next in the bedroom and the next in a cemetery. What a way to keep a child (and adult) on the edge of their seat.
The story and illustration are great and help keep the story moving. This would be a great story to use when introducing rhyme or during your Fall party in October. Regardless , you will love this take on an old story!
