T Gephart is an indie author from Melbourne, Australia. T's approach to life has been somewhat unconventional. Rather than going to University, she jumped on a plane to Los Angeles, USA in search of adventure. While this first trip left her somewhat underwhelmed and largely depleted of funds it fueled her appetite for travel and life experience. With a rather eclectic resume, which reads more like the fiction she writes than an actual employment history, T struggled to find her niche in the world. While on a subsequent trip the United States in 1999, T met and married her husband. Their whirlwind courtship and interesting impromptu convenience store wedding set the tone for their life together, which is anything but ordinary. They have lived in Louisiana, Guam and Australia and have travelled extensively throughout the US. T has two beautiful young children and one four legged child, Woodley the wonder dog. An avid reader, T became increasingly frustrated by the lack of strong female characters in the books she was reading. She wanted to read about a woman she could identify with, someone strong, independent and confident who didn't lack femininity. Out of this need, she decided to pen her first book, A Twist of Fate. She enjoyed the process so much that when it was over she couldn't let it go. T loves to travel, laugh and surround herself with colourful characters. This inevitably spills into her writing and makes for an interesting journey - she is well and truly enjoying the ride! Based on her life experiences, T has plenty of material for her books and has a wealth of ideas to keep you all enthralled.

Touring with a huge rock band and landing a record contract means you’ve hit the big time, right? Sadly neither of those things gave Rusty Crawford, lead guitarist of the band Black Addiction, worldwide fame and fortune. Which was a shame because he had the lifestyle down to a fine art—without the clichéd stint in rehab. Even being back in the Bronx, paying his dues didn’t rattle the charismatic axe man, ladies loved him and men wanted to be him. Fate would just have to catch up. Seemed like fate had more than just a platinum album planned for his future.
Alison Williams had the perfect life. Or at least she did until her world came crashing down around her, in the most epic way. With her future no longer a certainty she finds herself out of her comfort zone and into unchartered territory—a place where Rusty Crawford likes to spend most of his time.
Would the charming and ridiculously hot rock god help her find her feet, or send her further down the rabbit hole? One thing was for sure; both of them were in for the ride of their lives.

I have to confess that I got hooked up to T Gephart's books only recently after meeting her few times at signings. But once I started reading, I simply got addicted and for the last couple of months, I've read everything she ever published. So, of course, once I found out she is going to write a new series about Black Addiction, I was simply ecstatic. And I can honestly say that this was an amazing read. It was a little bit more light-hearted than her other books but the characters still have their heartaches and problems. The only thing missing is the suspense which she has in most of her books. That doesn't mean that the book is lacking though. On the contrary. It was actually quite cool to read a simple love story with quite a few notes of humor and with incredible romantic leads. Rusty and Alison are quite interesting characters and they meet like two normal people in a bar. Things don't exactly click from the first meeting but with time passing their chemistry just grows more explosive. And I loved the scene with their second official meeting :) It reminded me of that really cool scene from Crazy Stupid Love with Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. You probably know which one I am talking about, but just so there are no misunderstandings. It's the one where Emma enters the bar, walks to Ryan and pretty much gives him the hottest kiss ever. And the whole evening after that (with the photoshop line and all that). So yes, few scenes in the book actually remind me quite a lot of the movie. But I still loved because even though it sounds familiar, it is still different. So be prepared. Rusty is one hot dude and he can melt your panties with a single look. And wen you add to that that he can strum on a guitar quite well and probably even serenade you at times, there is no way you can resist him ;) Alison on the other hand is quite shy, and her whole life she's been hiding in a way from the outside world. But once she meets Rusty, he teaches her how to stand on her own two feet without being afraid of other's opinion. They form a bond that is simply indestructible and changes them both for the better. So if you are looking for a somewhat lighthearted read with a pinch of humor and incredible characters, then you should definitely check Slide. And for those of you who already read the rest of T Gephart's books, you will get the chance to meet some of those characters here :) Me personally, I can't wait for the next book to come out :) Hopefully, it will be soon :) This review was originally posted at Living In Our Own Story Book Blog. I received an ARC of the book in exchange of an honest review.
Never have I laughed out loud as much as I did reading Slide. I was banned from reading in bed. This book sooo deserves the five star rating!!! A fantastic lighthearted, spin off novel of the Power Station Series, the Black Addiction series promises to continue the mad cap adventures of the rockers we have come to love as only Tina can deliver. Slide, Black Addiction, follows the almost made it, charismatic, rocker Rusty as he meets and falls in love with the totally unlucky and insecure Alison. Embarking on a voyage of self-discovery, Alison's trial and errors will often leave you breathless from laughter, especially the beads. Be prepared to fall a little in love with Rusty as he guides Alison through her transformation, there really are good guys out there.
A wonderful book and great addition to the Power Station world. I can't wait to read more. T Gephart is fast becoming one of my favorite authors.
Love this series. Alison and rusty are wonderful together. I love the way power station was woven into the story. Cant wait for more...please hurry! A must read!
