    Just love these athletes!

Kason Rhodes, the mystery man of the team, deserves to find love and he finally gets it. Good thing she doesn't scare off very easily. I just love this series. I would love for Kate Angell to contine this series, but I realize that she is running out of players. She just has me hooked!

    Sliding Home

This is the first book I have read of hers. I was not overly impressed. I liked the theme of the book, but found the romance lacking.
I felt there could of so much more between the characters and stories.
Kason is a pro baseball player who keeps to himself. He does not have friends and doesn't share his personal life with his fans. Dayne comes in and takes over his "abandoned" trailer during spring training. Kason comes home to find her living in his house. Without revealing who he is Kason plays along with Dayne's thoughts that he is in between jobs and down on his luck like she is. She soon learns different and the grow closer. Kason keeps her at a distance to keep from falling for her. She decides to play a "trick" on him to win him back. The book was alright, but just lacked the "umph" to keep me intrigued on the rest of the series, not sure if I will read more.

    Another Home Run!

Kate Angell and her Rogues characters are sexy and fun, especially when they meet their matches! SLIDING HOME is another winner! For football heros, it's Susan Elizabeth Phillips. For baseball hunks, it's Kate Angell all the way!

    Cute Story

I was anxious to continue with the "baseball" series by Kate Angell. Her characters are well written and seem quite three-dimensional. The story line is fun to read. I couldn't put the book down. I can't wait for the next installment.

The Boys Of Summer Are Back

Kate Angell's Richmond Rogues are back to play ball in Sliding Home.

Kason Rhodes is home after being away for over six weeks for spring training in FL. Seems a squatter has moved into his mobile home that he had used on the land he owns. Kason values his privacy and no matter how hot this woman is she has to go... Now.

Dayne Sheridan was publicly dumped back in Baltimore and her luck ran out when she hit Richmond. Dayne thought finding the abandoned trailer was a godsend. But the man saying she is trespassing has other ideas. Dayne doesn't recognize Kason and she thinks he is a down on his luck regular guy. Its going to hit the fan when she finds out he is a big time ball player.

Kason feels bad for deceiving Dayne but its a nice change of pace to have someone care for him and not the star baseball player. He makes it up to her by getting her a PR job with the team. In return he agrees to help with the team PR department to promote a local jeweler. The campaign has Kason and Dayne acting like a couple falling in love. Will all this play acting spill over into real life?

Sliding Home is a grand slam of a story. It has funny characters, steamy passion and the joy of baseball. The chemistry between Kason and Dayne is hotter then any summer night. They both draw sparks off each other from their very first meeting. I am looking forward to the next player in the lineup from the fun series of books.

LIDING HOME is an engaging fast splitter sports romance

Richmond Rogues starting left fielder Kason Rhodes arrives home following spring training. However, he is in for a rude awakening upon opening the door to his mobile home. Dayne Sheridan lives there claiming squatter's rights as he obviously abandoned his abode.

He wants her out as the only companion he needs is Cimarron his dog. Dayne, who had sworn off men after a recent betrayal, keeps bribing him with food. However, she feels he is an unemployed squatter like her instead of the owner and a baseball star. As they fall in love, he fears he will strike out when she learns the truth as to who he is. He believess his Dayne will intentionally walk out on him.

The latest Rogues baseball romance continues the saga of a team apparently filled with bachelors enjoying the single life in Richmond finding true love (see STRIKE ZONE, CURVEBALL and SQUEEZE PLAY). The story line is faster than Ichiro Suzuki can run to first base or Ricky Henderson stealing a base; yet the characters including hot dog Cimarron are fully developed. Although similar in tone as a one pitch tale, SLIDING HOME is an engaging fast splitter sports romance as another Rogue falls in love.

    Harriet Klausner
