Slim Calm Sexy Yoga is a great book for anyone interested in the benefits of yoga. In her first book Ms. Tara Stiles talks about what yoga can do for your mind, body and soul. Tara will teach the many benefits of doing yoga on a regular basis. Ms. Stiles says yoga can help you lose weight, improve your memory and have a better orgasm. She shares great tips and advice on how yoga can help with headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome (hello too much time online hehe) and heart disease. She shows the different yoga poses and tells you how often you should do them to heal whatever ails you. Tara gives a brief introduction about what led her to yoga. This book is a wonderful reliable reference guide, great pictures and good reading for anyone interested in yoga. One of my favorite chapters in the book is chapter two. She talks about the three important principles of yoga. Those three principles are breathing, meditation and alignment. Tara makes these points because we need to slow down and take some time for ourselves. All of the chapters you will find tips from Tara that I found to be useful. Tara recently started a v log on youtube.com. I think its great and Tara rocks.

If you're buying a book to learn yoga, you're kind of missing the point. Yoga is like an instrument, learned by practice. If you want to do it, either sign up for a class, or just make some room and start doing it! However, a book can be a useful aid and reference, and this one is great. It's fun, easy, interesting, practical, and Tara's not hard on the eyes either!

I encourage you to first get a taste of what Tara is about by viewing her YouTube videos. If you are into the Om chants, incense and guru yoga, she is not the teacher for you. She is practical, down to earth and down to business without the out there in space vibe. This book is your pose encyclopedia. Want to slim with yoga? There is a routine for that. Need calm? There is a calm chapter. You get the idea. You can personalize and custom choose your poses, routines, etc. Clear, colorful, big pictures of poses and explanations of where to put your body, with or without limitations are next to every photo. Please practice some yoga before you buy. This is a lifestyle, not a fad. Make sure it is for you. This book gives you everything you need to start learning all the essential poses. I have a slipped disc in my back and yoga has eliminated all need for meds and heat pads. .

This book was a great investment. I was new to Yoga and this book taught me a lot about Yoga practice. As I continue to experience Yoga, I go back to this book and it continues to enhance my Yoga experience with many poses that I don't see in other books. Great purchase!

This is an excellent book if you have a regular yoga practice and I think it would be wonderful for beginners. There is yoga for toning of your upper, lower, and full body, as well as yoga for specific health conditions. There's also yoga for jet lag! Definitely worth the money. I will also be purchasing her other book, "Yoga Cures" to add to my library.
