Slippin' Around - Again is the second of two CDs that have all of trombonist Miff Mole's recordings as a leader (other than two big band numbers from 1937) prior to 1944. This CD begins with six alternate takes (all former test pressings) from Red and Miff's Stompers. Those transitional performance show that Mole had lost much of his individuality in favor of sounding like Jack Teagarden, but he was still a strong dixieland-oriented player.
