Stubborn and in love. Hopeless and in love. Rush and Jayla were so many things to each other, and simply couldn’t do without one another. It was obvious to everyone that the fire was burning, but these two never bothered to move forward until now. Even though they felt so strong, it was frustrating to see them resist. Rush is such a strong character and, just like with his siblings, I am glad to see that his heart is full and settled. Wonderful read. Highly recommended for lovers of steamy romance. Great job Melissa Foster!

This is book 13 in Melissa Fosters  Love in Bloom series and I have read each and every one.    Each one is it's own story with characters that are so familiar that I believe they are my friends and family.   This series is so unique in how it can pull the reader in from the very first page, keep them entertained throughout the entire book, and then continue the story in the next book in the series. It is hard for me to pick my favorite parts of this story.     I am a downhill skier and watching competitive skiing is one of my favorite sports to watch so relating to the injuries, the feeling of going down the hill, and the equipment being used was so familiar to me. I found it easy to relate to Rush and Jayla. Their friendship was easy from the very beginning.   There was no doubt that they were BFFs and destine to be together.     Once again Melissa introduced me to my book crush.  I am struggling to tell you more of what I loved without giving away the best parts of the story.   All I can tell you is that this is a book and series that you must read.    The entire Snow Sister series is a series I already have recommended to everyone and will continue to do so.

Jayla Stone has been in love with her best friend since she was thirteen, and while she wishes more than anything that they could be more than friends, she knows him better than to think he can change his bed-hopping ways. So she'll settle for movie nights and gummy bears, innocent touches that set her blood on fire, and hiding her feelings, no matter how strong they are. Rush Remington's eyes have been closed for far too long. But now that they're open, he sees Jayla for the woman she is, and that's not a woman he can be “just friends” with. But she's dating someone else, she's hiding something from him, and any attempt at a relationship might damage not just their friendship but also their careers. But keeping his feelings to himself just isn't an option anymore. The Verdict: I don't get it. I really thought Flames of Love was the best book in the series, but then I read about half a chapter of this one, and I have a new love. Jayla has been pining for Rush forever. He's her best friend, and she knows him better than anyone, which is why she's also certain that anything beyond friendship between the two of them can never happen. Now, I can't say I understood or related to the athletic side of her at all. Sports require movement and exercise and discipline, and I'm vehemently against all those things. But there was something about the way she loved Rush, their easy friendship and the way Jayla constantly reminded herself of their “just friends” status that completely made sense to me — even though I've never been in those shoes, either. Guess that just speaks to the quality of character development. And Rush… Well, I should have had more trouble liking him. While I'm not entirely opposed to reading stories that include a guy who whores around for a while, they rarely completely win me over. But that usual hesitation was out the window the moment Rush's thoughts centered on Jayla. Beginning the story with Rush already starting to realize his feelings for Jayla and having changed his ways — and without doing that whole macho jerk denial thing! — was a nice change from the norm. His feelings were immediately believable, and the way he put her first in everything was beyond endearing. Instead of two strangers falling for each other, Slope of Love is a story of lifelong friends discovering a deeper relationship. With their friendship on the line, there's plenty of hesitation, second guessing, and proving to themselves that it's real — all with some of the best chemistry I've read! ***FicCentral received this book from Fiction Addiction Book Tours for free in exchange for an honest review. For me, opening a book by Melissa Foster is like uncorking a bottle of fine wine; it's a pleasure whilst being devoured and once finished the taste lingers, leaving only happy feelings!  Slope of Love is another triumph by the author of The Remingtons series and though we are now four books in, the dramatic love lives of this family are still as engaging as ever. In previous books, Olympic skier Rush Remington has been portrayed with a certain sense of arrogance, but this installment allows the reader to explore the personality of the man underneath the athlete and though he isn't my favourite of the siblings I certainly wouldn't mind him as a friend! Slope of Love differs in that Rush and his love-interest Jayla do not meet as part of the story; they have been best friends for fifteen years, competing together and sharing each other's secrets. Instead the plot is concerned with the evolution of their friendship and how it impacts upon their lives as professional sportspeople.  Jayla is like Melissa Foster 's other leading women; strong, focused, witty and loving. Her commitment to skiing is unwavering, at the risk of her own health, yet through Jayla's relationship with Rush the reader is able to understand her insecurities and we are able to empathize. Melissa Foster again weaves the stories of the protagonists with characters we are familiar with from her other novels, plus new intriguing family members, like Jace, who I would love to read a book about! This is a must read for fans of The Remingtons or Bradens and any individuals who love a perfect contemporary romance! I received this as a complimentary review copy, but this has had no influence on my opinion.

In Slope of Love we get to know Rush Remington and Jayla Stone who have been best friends for years and are Olympic Skiers. Rush was a womanised but Jayla stuck by him as a best friend would. Something happens a year ago which makes him think of what he is and what he really wants. He wants Jayla and she wants him too but neither want to tell the other for fear their friendship will be ruined and a relationship might distract them from their game. What will happen between them? well I am not going to tell you that would spoil it ;) It was exciting to see Danica and Blake featured in Slope of Love I had a little aww moment about those two. The whole story is again brilliant as has been every book in the Love In Bloom series, I love to get to know all those characters that have been mentioned in previous books and the steaminess of the couple involved. I hope this series never ends as Melissa Foster is writing it so well I love them all.

Melissa Foster has very quickly become one of my favoriteauthors! I have always enjoyed these types of books, and I am SO happy that I found her books! From the beginning of the book, I felt for Rush! I have been in the situation where I was in love (or I thought it was love) with someone, yet couldn't tell them, for one reason or another. Of course, if you've read any of the previous books from the Love in Bloom series, you have most likely heard Rush's name being said. He most definitely has the "hotness" factor for me! I am drawn to tattoo'ed, athletic, "bad boy" types, and I have a feeling that Rush is just that!!  Slope of Love could be either read as a stand alone book or if you want to read the rest, by all means - I definitely recommend them!!

4.7 Star Review - Slope Of Love Jayle is hiding an injury that could possibly end her career. She will not even tell her best friend Rush. Rush figured out a year ago that he loved his best friend but she is currently dating someone. How can he stand aside when he sees how unhappy she is. Rush knows Jayle is hiding something from him. Will she finally tell him what is going on? If she tells him will it be the end of them? Or will he help her no matter what? The test of true friendship and the love that sometimes evolves from it. The story was full of sweet moments but still a steamy love story. Definitely worth the time to read. Can't wait for the next story in this series I am totally loving the Remington's.

This is the book of the ultimate friends crossing that boundary so many question and so little act on in fear of losing each other in the move. Melissa Foster has once again brought reality onto the page in a beautiful way with Slope of Love. We meet Jayla Stone and Rush Remington in Slope of Love ( o m g the Remmingtons!) These two have been friends for as long as they can remember, knowing each and every detail about each other but never have they crossed that line between- until now. Jayla has loved Rush for many years, nearly from the start without Rush even knowing it but what's standing in their way of being together? Well the fact that she has a boyfriend is one thing, but even after Jayla sends the boyfriend packing there's the secret she has kept to herself and could change everything including her career. On top of that Rush has his own secret he needs to reveal.   As close as two best friends can be, can they find it in their hearts to open up and share each other's secrets?  Or will they hold back and not try to over come the bumps along their journey?  I loved how these two were so close, a wonderful story brought to life through the pages. Foster always is able to make it seem so real and life like. There is no denying the chemistry between these two, no way to miss the fire sparking up page after page. You will have to read the book to find out what happens with Jayla and Rush, it's fun, it's sexy it's a must read!

I can not believe that I am now thirteen novels in on this series. It feels like I just started them yesterday! Melissa Foster is amazing and she cranks out novels like I have never seen an author do before. The more I read from her, the more I realize that I am going to be a Melissa Foster addict for life. Slope Of Love continues the Remingtons journey for you and lets you in just a little bit more on their lives. Thsi includes everything from love and steam (oh boy!) to even some loss. But what’s love without loss? It wouldn’t be realistic without it. This novel can be read by itself so you don’t have to read the other twelve to dive right into this one. Almost all of the books in the series could be read as stand alones if you really wanted to, but I am a stickler for reading a series as it comes. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and love reading about the characters. How they change and grow through their lives is always different from book to book and so it is never redundant. This one is about Rush and Jayla. Rush is learning to leave behind his ways about women and to move on to a more emotional perspective. Melissa is always able to capture the true emotion and feeling behind her characters and I love that. Both Rush and Jayla have strong emotions and you will feel like you are able to grasp exactly what thay are feeling all the way throughout the novel. There are not enough words to put out there for how amazing this series has been for me. I love every single romantic part and every single trial or tribulation that the characters have had to go through. I want to be a part of a Melissa Foster novel. That’s how much she sucks you in! You will now always have in the back of your mind all these different kinds of relationships and families. Your life because of a novel and an amazing series even up to book thirteen will never be the same!

Another great read by Melissa Foster!!! I would love to be a fly on the wall of Melissa Foster's writing space. She continues to build upon and expand on the lives characters that you cannot help but love! Slope of Love is the fourth installment of the Love in Bloom series. Even though it is part of a series, it can be enjoyed as a stand-alone novel without having read the previous books (but why not?!?) Lovers make the best friends or is it friends make the best lovers? Either way, the main characters in Slope of Love put this to the test when they their friendship is taken to the next level. Competitive skiers, Jayla Stone and Rush Remington have been friends forever and know the good, the bad and the ugly about one another. As their relationship goes to the next level, a secret that Jayla has been keeping threatens not just their friendship and blossoming love but her life and career. As Melissa Foster is known for doing, she weaves some great life lessons into her romance stories and helps put what truly matters into perspective.

Jayla has been in love with her best friend Rush for years. They are both Olympic gold medalist skiers and have always been there for each other. Jayla knows everything about Rush including that he is a ladies man. They never keep secrets from each other other than the fact thy both love each other. Rush has took a look at his life and changed his ways. Jayla is the only woman he wants and he has to prove to her he is ready to settle down for her. However Jayla has one secret she hasn't told anyone. She is injured and may not be able to compete much longer. She worries if she can't Rush won't want her. They both have to sit down and talk before their chance of happiness disappears. Jayla is a woman who doesn't give up easy. She is in pain but tries her best hide it and compete at least one more time. She loves Rush but is afraid to take a chance with him. She is a wonderful skier but she has problems believing that she is more than just a skier. Rush is sexy and knows all the right moves. However now he s a chaned man. He feels bad for all the things he did over the years and all the women he has been wit. He is very protective and caring towards Jayla and those he loves. I really like how Jayla and Rush have been friends since they were kids and it grew into love. The author does a great job showing you how special a bond they have. I liked them as a couple and friends. Rush's idea for photo albums is very sweet. They have problems with his past and her stubbornness but they try their best to work through it. I love the heat between them as well. they clearly work well together in that area and using those fantasies they have had for years clearly was a good idea. You also get to see some of the people you already know and love if your a fan of this authors books like I am. I think we get a glimpse of some new characters that may come into play and I think I already love Jayla's brother. If you haven't read this series be sure to pick them up. They become like an extended family to you and you can't wait for more.

Sometimes fate is mean.  Imagine having a friend in your life that you REALLY want to have a relationship with but you were afraid that if you did, you might lose a good friend? Meet Jayla and Rush.  Two competitive skiers who have been friends since forever. She has loved him since forever but he was single and free and didn’t notice.  Till one day, he realized he loved her as well.  Awwwwww. Jayla had won a Olympic medal but is hiding the fact that shes in a lotta pain with her shoulder. But she had this itch to compete one last time.  Rush is worried but what is he gonna do?  She determined to make it happen. This is another great read from Melissa Foster and you should check it out.

Have you ever had a friend that you really wanted the relationship to be more then friends but were afraid you might lose that person ultimately if you acted on it? Jayla Stone and Rush Remington have been friends since forever. They each know everything about the other one. Jayla has loved Rush since the beginning but Rush --well men do not always see what is right in front of their nose! She knew about all the women he had been with etc.-and him being a single Remington-there were a lot. Until the day that Rush woke up and realized he loved Jayla. Of course he stopped his womanizing ways! Both Jayla and Rush were competitive skiers. Jayla, who had won an Olympic Medal, was trying to hide the fact that she was in a lot of pain--she had hurt her shoulder again--she was bound and determined to compete this one last time. Yes, Jayla is one strong, determined and stubborn chick! Rush was worried but knew enough to allow her one last time-not that he had a choice! Plenty of action and subplots in this one and of course a happily ever after! I think this might me my favorite Braden (Remington) book so far.

Rush Remington - Been waiting to meet this caring, sensual, come-hither, kissable man. Yes, I would say he has all the Remington requirements. Jayla Stone and Rush have been good friends for years. They know each others finest and slightly unfavorable moments. As Rush takes stock in his life, he comes to the realization that he needs more than friendship from Jayla. There is just 1 or 2 problems. Jayla has a boyfriend, who is not a fit for a relationship. Then there is another secret, one she has not shared with Rush. One that could change everything. Well Jayla has no problem sending the jerk boyfriend down the road, but will her secret ruin it all? The embers of friendship easily spark a fire that can not be denied. Melissa Foster has assembled another volume to her collection of love and lovers. Each addition to her collection leads you thru the many lives in the world she has created. Each story can be read as one novel alone, but the combination of these chronicles will lead readers to become a part of the stormy and passionate storylines.

Passions at its best! The Slope of Love by Melissa Foster starts off in a very dreamy way –  From the very first book I have read from Melissa; there has been a chemistry I always searched for in a romance… believable characters with an appealing touch of fantasy.  Rush Remington and Jayla (friends for fifteen years) would be spending some hang out time. Yet, the media is around and even if he knows he is loved by the media and by women; he doesn’t feeling like smiling for the camera. (Maybe because I’m not there in Colorado with him, I wish).  I can’t wait to read more.  I liked reading about Jayla, a hot Olympic gold medalist - wondering how independent she really was.  At first, I felt Rush being the jealous kind but then it could have just been a perception and totally wrong, at that. A man who thinks of a woman who was once a teenager and how he raked his eyes down the curves of her hips – is my kind of man.  Jayla likes bonfire and dancing – she had to choose. This is a must read. It is different from anything I ever read.  It gets better “I’ve changed, and so have my feelings for you.” With this kind of revelation, Jayla has to make a decision as feel and believe words coming out the mouth of a sweet talking womanizer or just move away from him. I do recommend it. Adriana LG

How does Melissa Foster do it? She keeps writing one hit after another. Slope of Love is bound to be another one of these hits. She did a marvelous job with the story of Rush and Jayla. I was hooked from the very beginning. I could not put the book down. Of course, in a way it reminded me of my husband and I. My husband and I started out as friends. I was scared to death to tell him that I had more feelings for him. When I did finally get the nerve up, I started out by asking him what he would do if he had feelings for a friend. Numskull that he is, he started off saying he probably wouldn't say anything because he wouldn't want to lose that friendship. He didn't get it that I was talking about the 2 of us. I finally had to tell him I was talking about the 2 of us. Luckily, it worked out for us. Anyway, Slope of Love really captures the complexities of friendship turning to love. You feel like you are a part of the book. You can picture everything, and feel such empathy for the characters. I just fell in love with everything in this book. I give this book 5 stars. I think everyone will enjoy this one. It isn't appropriate for all ages due to the mature content (sexual situations). Run out and get a copy of this book (if you are an adult). While this is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone book. The only problem you might have is waiting for the next book in the series. This series is addictive. I received a free copy of this book from Beck Valley Books, but all opinions are 100% mine.

In Slope of Love, you get to see the athletic brother of the Remington Clan!  I suppose I have always been somewhat athletic, so I felt I could relate to Rush and Jayla perfectly in their story.   Melissa Foster got it right with the relationship between Rush and Jayla. When you've been friends with someone for as long as Rush and Jayla, you are bound to fall in love. Their relationship is beautiful and this book had me crying in the end!

I cannot get enough of Melissa’s Love in Bloom series. How she manages to continue these sexy stories is beyond me! It feels as if they are so natural to her and her writing is such a talent! I am never disappointed when I read one of the Love in Bloom series (and if you ask me, I recommend them to all of my gal friends – and I do!) Slope of Love brings us another Remington. Rush to be exact. We have heard Rush’s name in the previous books and we have heard that he is a professional skier. I wouldn’t put him up in the sexiness category as some of his other brothers. (The book said he was muscular and had tattoos, but for some reason, the hotness factor just didn’t rank up there in my book with his brothers.) Slope of Love focuses on a frienship that could potentially be so much more. Let’s be real, I am not about to ruin what really happens, but the realism of the situation is there. Been there, done that, although my ending didn’t come close to the same as the ending did for Rush and his best friend Jayla. In short, another great read that I highly recommend either as a stand alone or as part of the entire series (that I promise you will enjoy!)
