Overview

Griffin left after New Year's Eve. There was a misunderstanding. He thought he saw something Leigh swears he didn't see.

He came back a month later. But by then, she'd already done something that Griffin thought was horrible. He couldn't be with her anymore. So, he left for good.

Now, three and a half months later, a madman named Marcel is threatening Leigh, demanding that she get a message to Griffin. She doesn't have a choice. She has to go to Griffin for help.

More than anything, she wants him back, but he's made it clear that he'll never forgive her. Stuck together in the same apartment, they will have to confront their problems.

Because what Marcel has planned for them is so harrowing, they'll need to be able to depend on each other.

Interesting plot and premis. Characters are mostly believable and well developed. She leaves much to be desired in the maturity area and he's a total basket case in the sexual area. The "doll" nonsense was a big turnoff and utterly juvenile. I also read Slow Burn and it was much the same

This is the second book after slow burn. It is even better than book one I had a hard time putting this book down it has 665 pages worth every penny or should I say dollars on this book. The characters from the first book continue in this book and then she adds another twist to the story. I'm getting ready to read the third book in this series. Griffin and Leigh just have a hard time staying together through everything in this book. It had some really emotional parts and true love parts as well.

This book is the next book in the Assassins series, and it did not disappoint. I love the main characters and their relationship even though at times it is not all that great, but I feel that truly shows the ups and downs that are common in many relationships. I also love how action packed these books are. You cannot stop reading once you start, and it is definitely a page turner. Pick up this series. You won't be disappointed. I am looking forward to the next of her work.
