Slow Boat from China

Slow Boat from China

by Adrian Sparham

Editorial Reviews

The book the Sparhams make it to the south of France and head inland to Holland by way of a network of rivers and canals. The accounts of the floods and the recalcitrant diesel provide a picture of potential peril that will keep readers turning the pages, delivering what the best of this type of book promises.
The Ensign
This interesting cruising narrative recounts one couple's sail home—with their dog—to Vancouver, British Columbia, from Hong Kong where they'd been living. Their refurbished 37-foot Dufour steel ketch was well-suited for the long voyage...Their descriptions of the voyage, the places they visited and their experiences will entertain you, especially if you have a little wanderlust. In many ways, I envy them—they have made memories to last a lifetime.
