St. Paddy's Corned Beef
Submitted by: Connie West from Sonora, CA
3 carrots, peeled and thickly sliced
3-lb. flat-cut corned beef brisket with seasoning packet
1 c. low-sodium beef broth
½ to 1 head cabbage, cut into wedges
Arrange carrots in the bottom of a slow cooker; place corned beef on top. Sprinkle with one-quarter of seasoning packet contents; discard rest of seasoning. Pour broth over all. Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours, or on high setting for 5 to 6 hours. Add cabbage wedges, pushing down to moisten. Cover; cook on high setting for an additional 2 to 3 hours. Makes 8 to 10 servings.

I already had a copy of this book and quite like the recipes. I often prepare dishes from the book. I purchased a second copy to give to a friend. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
