This book is very simple to use, which I love because I can just turn to the section I need, and look up the recipe I want, instead of having to skim through the whole book. I love how they explain to you the very basics in the beginning of the book in case you dont know how to cool poultry, meat, fish, vegetables, or pasta. They literally have you covered if you have never boiled water before. I personally cook but it was nice to see their suggestions. The only thing I would suggest for this book would be for there to be photos of what the dishes look like because I am a visual person. I love that there are recipes for breakfast dishes, vegetarian dishes, desserts and theres even a recipe in there for Jambalaya, which I am planning on cooking soon. At the end of the book theres also a very usefu guide on what type and brand of crock pot to buy. It gives you the features that each brand offers, therefore you can choose what you will be using it for

Variety! This book is not only a great guide into the essentials of slow cooking but has a variety of different recipes for not only the typical slow cooker entrees for lunch and dinner but many delicious recipes for breakfast as well, I can't wait to try out the curried oatmeal and dried fruit recipe in chapter four. Also an excellent guide in food preservation for anyone shopping for two on a budget. Could have more pictures though but it doesn't take away from any information presented.

This book is filled with recipes and good advice for cooking with a slow cooker (usually known to most people as a "Crock Pot"). Slow cookers apparently are not just for entrees! There are many recipes for other things, from soups and dips, to even desserts! Who knew? I do now. If you are a beginner int he kitchen, there is plenty of fresh and new advice on other things too...like buying, storing and portioning food, and basics on keeping a kitchen clean. As a food lover and frequent cook, I found these tips to be a bit condescending, but still...they are good tips. There are plenty of recipes in here that I will use, happily.

There is a wealth of helpful information for the very specific needs of a reader slow-cooking smaller portions. There is a wide range of well-known and lesser-known foods, all with easy instructions. However, the book also gives too much advice in a few areas, including how to organize your kitchen. This is unnecessary and a bit grating.
I did receive this book for free.

Perfect for two!  I have been looking for ways to make cooking at home easier and quicker so that
we eat out less. It has been difficult to find great cookbooks because most are written for larger
families. This cookbook is perfect for just two people. The recipes are great, the portions are prefect,
and the tips for success really helped make slow cooking easier.

This is a great resource for someone like me with a busy lifestyle and has very little time to cook. Being new to using a slow cooker and not knowing how they work this book is extremely helpful. This book pretty much provides everything you need to know about slow cooking in general. It has great tips, instructions, and tons of delicious recipes from lasagna, chocolate cheesecake and so much more. This is a great book if you are cooking for two or a group and it would make for an excellent gift for anyone who enjoys cooking.

Being in a single-person household, I love the concept of this cookbook. It’s great to have slow cooker options that are already adapted
for a smaller number of eaters. The first part of the cookbook is really geared more toward novice slow cooker users. It is full of ideas
and helpful hints on getting started with slow cooking. Those more experienced with slow cooking may not need this section, but it’s
nice to have it just in case. The recipes are great. There are so many options that there is surely something to appeal to every palate.

This cook book was a knock out. It is very organized and full of numerous tips for using a slow cooker in general and certainly for making meals for two.
One of the areas that I found most helpful was the appendix. There, they included equivalents to ingredients often found in larger servings and provided what
would be needed for two. Like for example, for a recipe that requires one egg, they let you know that for a slow cooker meal for two, you will need just 1/4 of an egg.

I will be using this cookbook on a regular basis for recipes and as a resource for additional measurements and servings for meals that I am testing out. This cook book will enhance any cook's library.

This book is great for me and my wife. We just love the beef stew recipe. It's quick and easy and very tasty. I never have to worry about where to find any of the ingredients because this book shows me where to find them and exactly how much I need of an ingredient and also how to store it as well. Very helpful for a guy like me because I've never been very good in the kitchen and now I seem like a top chef on food network or something! My wife really, really loves me now, thanks to this book.

Slow Cooking for Two would make an excellent gift for young couples as they begin their lives together. Most everyone has at least one slow cooker in their kitchens, and especially for those youngsters, this cookbook teaches some important fundamentals about food safety. Beyond that, it gives them a variety of recipes to try, even some that you wouldn't think would work well in a slow cooker at all.

I really wish I had a book like this when I first got married, as a wedding gift we had received a slow cooker but didn't know how to properly use it. This book not only includes 101 recipes of all kinds for the slow cooker, but it also has a section going over the basics of slow cooking – for example the time equivalent of slow cooking to stove cooking, or to not add too much liquid to slow cooking – those were things I could only guess about in the past! This is now my favorite slow cooker book, and one that I will gift to every newly wedded couple that I know.
